No i mean one shot, if you place the flood in the middle of thr reticule, on easy or normal anyway.

Then yeah, you're blatantly wrong. Unless you're measuring it according to MUCH shorter Library hallways than I am.

Okay, I tried it. But you're still wrong. There are definitely cliff Flood on Keyes in places where common firing LoS to them implies an average of about 2 shotgun blasts on easy, assuming the shotgun is pointed at their center of mass with a sniper rifle pre-aim.

I'm really not sure what you're trying to prove. Even if you pick a close enough range that the shotgun actually IS a reliable 1-shot, you're still talking about easy difficulty, which means little for the game's core balance; easy was deliberately made extremely easy to acommodate the many people at the time who had never touched a console shooter before. The shotgun does have a large effective range compared to its later incarnations, but it's hardly a "sniper" weapon.

Not really. You're trying to tell us that the CE shotgun is op and should be more like H2/H3/Reach. In other words, the shotgun should be sabotaged to appeal to newer players.

Why? Pretty much everyone who has played all the games in the series would agree with this. This isn't a detail that needs to be "proven" to anyone; it's something people already accept. Denying it would be like denying gravity.

This is a CEA exclusive feature however, since it refers to the campaign I will answer this.

CE did not originally have a netcode designed for co-op so 343 had to implement one. The one used in Halo PC was designed with dial up in mind and furthermore, AI did not sync.

When it works, CEA LIVE co op is a blast, but yes, improving it would be nice to see.

Most of it is good timing, but a little luck is involved too. I sort of do that in Halo PC. If I want my kill to be classy or they have a rocket launcher, I'll jettison from my Banshee above them so it falls on them. Good times.

2. Don't reduce the second half of the campaign to reverses of previous levels.
We all know, no matter what you say to defend it, that about half way through the campaign Bungie just decided "Hell, let's just take the levels we already had, reverse them and put flood into them." I'm fairly sure the reason we didn't get completely new levels is due to time restraints but it has always pissed me off that there wasn't more. I always felt cheated when playing Two Betrayals, Keyes and the Maw.

Although I will agree with you somewhat on Bungie just remaking the older levels, there was a uniqueness to them that made them feel different. The Maw did not even feel the same to me since the ship was completely destroyed. Even the bridge felt somewhat alien.
OT: Cut out as many Rocket Flood and make some Marine AI that can actually drive a Ghost. Battles on Legendary were lost because some idiot Marine decided that it would be cool to run into the Master Chief -.- .

It varies. Sometimes, it always works and I can get subsequent assassinations with every revert. Sometimes, I need to get another checkpoint.

That is why I love CE. It does not suppress creativity. This is why I view online gaming as a bitter curse. Due to cheaters, developers want people to remain in the playing field. Invisible barriers pushed in closer and now (as of Reach) 10 second countdowns.

It is wonderful and it's a little bit of both.

Btw, I haven't forgotten about your request regarding getting out of a Banshee to assassinate a Zealot. It's just that I haven't gotten around to it yet. It's kinda tough when I have 3-4 games I have projects in. I have given up on H3 recently so I'll get to it eventually.

And replace them with sword Flood. I'd love to be chased by 10 CE sword Flood. :3 Just imagine the betrayals!

You do realize that it's possible to evade their suicidal impulses by crouching, right? Nonetheless, I'd prefer if the Ghost had a bigger hover height. That would easily fix this betrayal issue without compromising CE's glorious physics.

I've never had a thing for that kind of mod as I don't get enough time to develop concern when I'll know they'll be replaced.

Actually, it's more or less like that. The Flood spawn on the left side (based on where you first come from in Campaign) and charge through the middle and the upper catwalk. Marine defenders on the right are on Warthog turrets on the bottom level and the upper tier, with a few guys with shotguns and ARs in the smaller hallway and bottom for good measure. Sometimes I just load it up and sit in a turret mowing down Flood for a while.

Oh, and it works for CTF. Marines are one team and Flood are the other. It's basically players with some support if you can get people in the server.

Ingenious! I'll get Custom Edition back just for that! CTF works on Solo right? I haven't joined or hosted a game for a long time and probably won't in my life time.
