I just saw a green monkey nut shot a small tan lizard(?) in a gunny sack.

Is it getting to me? No, because I have Hoobla to look to in these dark, inactive times.

If it is, you need to get off the computer and live a little more.

Questions lead to learning, learning leads to kowledge, knowledge leads to understanding, understanding leads to peace.

Well excuse me, but I happen to lead a fairly acitve life outside of b.net. I'm saying if someone like me can come back in between visits and find the same threads in under 10 seconds, something's not right.

Member of six years and developer of many scripts for the site insults OP's personal life and the amount of time he spends on the computer. Nice.

Wait, seriously? Didn't know that. lol. I guess less activity wittles it down to the gems.

All I'm saying is this weekend is slow, even slower than the regular slow.

Well that's because all of the people that regularly visit Bnet are the same people who have been visiting for months, or, in the example of fine CAVX here, several years. Admirable, but bad for activity, as you see.

If you're just watching the community forum, waiting for it to be active, that's going to be boring as hell. Find something else to do on the computer while you browse.

I do, but it can be annoying to come back after a while and see almost nothing has happened.

Nah, I think it's good to stay quiet for a while. And then see it come back shooting up in activity when the New Hawtness comes and Bungie comes out of the dark!

It is possible to commit no errors and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.

Cheeto is the only one among you that doesn't suck.

I haven't really noticed any real change in activity. This forum has never moved very fast, though there is almost always someone else on here.

Not so much getting to me as it is drawing me away.

I've even turned my attention to being active in The Flood...

We've all fallen so low.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

The Septagon has been 'dead' for as long as I can remember. I've gotten used to it; so no, can't say I am.

Quote from Confucius

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.

Its always been like this

Your just too used to the flood forum speed

You're right, it takes about a minute to realize how insane the Flood is.

I showed my buddy an example from the flood the other day. His only comment was "Remind me to NEVER go there." And I'm not used to the speed of the flood. While it goes very fast, I was commenting on how the forums are slower than normal, normal being it's usual slow pace. My other thought was that it should be speeding up since it's a weekend, not slowing down.

Are you -blam!- kidding me?

The Flood is the most well-behaved random board I've seen, and it's actually one of the most creative. Yes, they have a hilarious sense of over-importance (don't we all?) and most of the threads suck, but it's not the same thing over and over again unless there's some big news. Yeah, the Flood's so awful; check out /b/, feel free to peruse the stoner, trap, gore, rule 34 and kiddie threads.

Jeez, I didn't realize that having an opinion was illegal. All I wanted to discuss was the unusually low amount of activity this weekend.

Well, when the site's admin threatens to delete the flood off the face of the earth, it's safe to assume things are going to settle out. Sure, there is still the random outburst, but the Flood has settled out in the years I've been here.

And it always seems this slow to me on the community.
