i just thought, how about adding a kind of built-in modding tool ? that would allow you tu modify everything, add new spawn points etc, that might makes modders stop modding. why he hell ? well, they hacks because they sucks, and obviousely can't be fair, and win in a loyal way, so give everyone the possibility to mod
but you're gonna say that the game wont even be playable online (we'll have dual infinite rocker lauchers while overshield plus infinite camo and instant-kill bullets, for every noobs-players) and damn, you're true
but what if we add a kind of servers that you could select (you have a list of servers to choose, and servers specs are sent to you, just like in halo:ce)
that would mean you could play on maps that you like a lot (and hence NOT playing on maps you hate with GT you hate) and, if you wanna have fun, go on a "cheating" server (which will modify every stats for everything, like physics, strenght, etc)
or another solution could simply be to block users having modded data (that they could clean easily, since it would be an official mode) to go on XBL, they would NOT be able to play online
i personaly think it's a good idea, besides, it can enhance even further the life-time of the game (tired of playing only against one kind of enemy ? change him, and fight against tons of humans >=) )
i am not saying modding on XBL should be accepted, neither i'm encouraging people to mod, but this could be an interesting idea ? sure, modder would still cheat, but that would add both fun and the game would last longer, at least in SP
EDIT : not a cheating server, that would suck, that's sure
what i meant, was : a server where everything would be modified : physics, weapons, etc, but every players have the same specifications
