I <3 you too Bungie

Hey, did we ever get those promised numbers? I can't remember. Just curious how much we helped Bungie raise by either buying swag, buying the bands (Japan tsunami relief), or buying the larger auctioned items.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

I ♥ Bungie!

I don't have a clue, perhaps you could PM DeeJ or Achronos for an answer.

Bobcast is paid in MILF blind dates.

If everyone played ODST for the Haiti relief that would be $77,000.

This would be a good question for the Mail Sack.

  • 06.04.2012 5:23 AM PDT

Good question, I'm curious on this as well.

Bye.

From the 2005 Fight the Flood charity campaign.
Bungie fans and Halo 2 players have together, simply by purchasing "Fight the Flood" T-Shirts, raised over $175,000 in donations to the American Red Cross to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.
I'll see if I can track down some numbers from the more recent charity missions :-)

500 swag bags at $35 each = $17,500
382 votes at $25 (minimum) = $9,550
A Night With Bungie for Dr.SS SC= $6,000
---------------------------------------------
Total= $33,050 (Roughly)
Total W/ Fight The Flood shirt = $208,050 (Roughly)

I asked this question a couple/few months back and never got a response. I think that's a misstep in community management. Let us know what we were a part of!

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Over all the years Bungie has run charities, I'd say around $300,000.

You forgot about the wristbands. They spent most of their tenure on Amazon at the top of the clothing best seller list, so I imagine that they raised an impressive sum for Japan.

But where are the exact totals? Where are the photos of hospitalized children learning on an iPad? Where is the huge cardboard mockup of a check being handed to some Japanese official by Urk?

Edit: accidentally wrote my post in the url space :\

Things on amazon are hard to track, aside from reviews or the seller giving a definitive sale number you can only really give a guess.

Also, "In addition, we will donate all of the profits from all Bungie Store purchases until April 30th, 2011." I have no idea what the sale figures were like for that time period so I can't include it. :-(

I'd be really interested to see a Bungie breakdown of Charity sales :-)

Yes. This. But newer and more relevant to the money we raised recently.
