Double meleeing is something I thought was something exclusive to Halo 2, but I just recently found out it could be done in Combat Evolved.

Some of you probably already learned this years ago, but this is for the people who don't know it.

Here's my video link: Double Melees

Cool the only drawback I see is that you throw a grenade...which if it bounces off your target, lands at your feet.

Nice man, however it'll probably won't work in close combat where the persn is like 2 feet away from you, otherwise you might kill yourself.

Nah, but you see, it's all about fire superiority. If you pull it off well enough, the melees will take him out fast, and the chance that the grenade will cause collateral damage isn't as big as you think once you clear out of there. Plus, let's say your opponent is already damaged, and/or one of your melees doesn't hit. That means the grenade that bounced off his body is going to finish him off.

I actually think this form of double-meleeing is more dangerous and easier to pull off than in the second Halo.

master kim has a good idea there. i think it would actually work. but the only way to find out is to use it in actual combat.

It works. Trust me.

Check out a few of the montages at Playhalo.com and you'll see just how effective it is.

Nice tutorial Kim. The video is nicely edited, and I know this is going off subject, but your graphics are sweet. xD Can't wait to get my new FX5500.

How did any of you not know about this? The double melee in Halo 2 is not a real double melee, the Halo 1 double melee is the real deal. It's not an impractical trick either, it's used quite frequently in higher level gameplay. Any of you who play Halo 1 Xbox should know this.

*Buzzer* Wrong. Everybody has already tried it and it melees at the same rate when you don't switch them.

But you can double melee with a weapon switch if you still throw the grenade. Just thought I'd throw that out there in case any of you want to experiment with it.

I love how clear you make it Master Kim! Makes me want to go out there and own some people : )

It would also be awesome if you could show a backpack reload...I think I'm doing it wrong cuz it seems to take just as much time.

Wait, so you're saying that none of us are high level players? Dude, tricks like that usually aren't necessary anyways, but it is pretty interesting.

M2K server, hehe. I play on their sniper server all the time. Too bad some idiots on M2K ban for no reason (funny, no one ever thinks of using the sv_kick function anymore; -blam!-s).

Just because you don't know how to exploit a certain glitch or trick doesn't mean that you're unskilled. It's just something which helps improve your gameplay.

The reason I never realized about the double melee in Halo PC was because meleeing is somewhat impractical because of the laggy netcode. That's why most people and I never figured it out. I only figured this out while watching a few montages of Combat Evolved on XBC, and I noticed how there was a decrease in the recovery time between melees. That's when I saw grenades flying out of nowhere and I realized that it was simply a melee, followed by a grenade, and another melee.

lol

Arg.. putfil is so slow for me. Its taken a while to load, and its not even into any of the real halo footage. ;[

If you can time it right, you can meele, its pretty easy to meele once you get the amount down, I meele people so much, on Blood Gulch when the other team gets the flag, I get go down, and end their joy of getting the flag with a quick meele to the back, lol.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about, Joe. Most of those KW clans are egotistical to the point where they abuse their notoriety the the largest extent possible. [M2K] is no exception.

But to stay on topic, I haven't really found myself applying this melee trick in real combat yet, but I've known about it for a while. Backpacking, on the otherhand, is something I do every game.
