That the Didact is the Primary Antagonist for Halo 4.

This Video.

On top of the Didact symbol being turned upside down, like the cross being turned upside down.

Then that giant sphere at the beginning of the gameplay video seemingly having the Didact's symbol on it. Makes me think with pretty good reason that the Chief will be fighting one of the most powerful Forerunners ever to exist.

4/30- Never forget!!!!! Reach Beta "Friends and families" code fail.

I really wouldnt be surprised, especially with all the focus they have on him in the Books. I am pretty curious to see the role MB plays in this though.

But yeah, Didact was what first came to mind for me.

I don't think MB will return. It was destroyed on Installation 4b.

Inverted cross = anti-Christ = replace Christ

Greg did mention 2 Didacts. One of them has to be false or perhaps a split entity/memory from the original like Mendicant Bias who was also split?

I think he meant Master Builder . Its pretty clear Mendicant Bias went through hell between the novels and Halo 3 . But the Master Builder clearly was the antagonist of Halo: Cryptum . And having the Didact as a full blown enemy would kill everyone's boners . He was never portrayed as evil anywhere . Even on the Halo 3 Terminals he was clearly concerned about his decision of firing the Halo Array. So maybe the Didact may be an enemy at first until he finds out the whole story behind John's actions (e.g: Destroying the Ark and Installation 04 due to the Covenant's potential misuse and the risk of Flood escaping) and in which he becomes an ally . Sort of like Javik from Mass Effect 3

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

But nothing definite hints at him being, you know, evil.

Your display pic reminds me . Will Jun make an appearance in Halo 4?

Don't do anything you wouldn't want to have to explain to paramedics. Trust me, I'm a pilot.

I don't think he will be the antagonist, as Bornstellar didn't hate humans. I made this thread exploring what I think the sphere seen in the demo may be. You may want to check it out.

You see, I always had the conception Jun died at Castle Base defending Halsey. Correct me if I'm wrong but that is what I'm sure happened.

Im pretty much convinced the diadict will make some appearance in H4, though i don't know what he will be doing.
