Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

I've been looking around the forum with the hopes of seeing someone else bringing forth the same question, but to no result (maybe I haven't been looking good enough?), so thought I'd just as well be the one.

After watching the Halo 4 trailer, the thing that got me thinking the most, was the huge sphere with Forerunnerish marks in it. I thought it looked just as how the Composer from Primordium was described.

I haven't got the book right now, so I can't provide an exact quote of how it was described, but here's what Halopedia has to say:

The Composer
Halopedia:" The Composer was a Forerunner, or possibly one of their machines, that could extract the personality and memories of a living being, either for the purpose of creating an ancilla such as a monitor, or to integrate them into a geas as it did with the Lord of Admirals.[1] There are few details as to what the Composer really is, such as whether it is either a Forerunner or a machine. Even its uses are merely speculative.

Thoughts?

the composer was the primordial they even reffered to it as such in primordium but only once so I guess most people didn't catch that or remember it very well

Really? That doesn't make much sense. They're described in completely different ways and are utilized at different times.
If they're the same, the Librarian would have had to communicate with it in order to compose various geas(es), which would mean that the Didact would have known about it since they were at Hakkor Prime at the same time.

Or am I missing something else?

Also, how does it compose if it's in a jar?

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

The Primordial was never refered to as the Composer.
