Have you ever created a private group? If so, how successful were you?

To define successful would depend on what your main goals were. Like having top quality debates, the community getting along well or simply getting a lot of activity each day. How well did your group live up to your ambitions?

the only problem i have with mine is that it's unstable,[very shakey],so you'd need a tripod for it.

Just drink a beer and everything will be ok

I've haven't created one but I've been a member for a long time. Things are a bit quiet right now but, overall, the discussions have been many, varied and entertaining.

Hi There, like my profile?

:D

I created a group called 'HLG Reach' in 2010, it has about 450 Members, 200 in which joined within the first several weeks of me starting it.

As time went on, I stopped having interest in Bungie.net which made the activity very low there.

Last year I closed it, and removed the Ability for lower ranked members to post in the Forums, as well as lock the remaining threads.

:)

Now I'm focused on One group here..

Technically two but really we just changed forums back in 2010. It has yet to live up to "my ambitions".

A little bit of sausage, a little bit of hot sauce, a whole lot of awesome. Have a question? Ask me!

I have tried and failed many times but I am part of some amazing groups.

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

I made one back when I joined in '07. It did very well, hit over 300 members. Then Halo 3 came out and killed it.

Had 2, averaged more than a member a day for the life of the group. Met every goal we set a week ahead of time, it was awesome.

I've also had a few flukes, bungie.net groups can be really hard to build. The learning curve can be a -blam!-.

Private groups...sounds very secretive.

Talk to me in whispers.

(Whispers) I like to be talked in whispers.

I would say mine was pretty successful. We nearly reached the goal I had set for it so I'm happy with it even though the last post was over a year ago.

Yes, it was very successful for a while, we ended up moving off-site. Unfortunately too many admins and a lack of cohesive direction lead the enterprise to crumble.

This thread would have appealed to me more if it was written with crayons.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

I think I hit 'create group' once just because I was curious to see the group creation page and the options it gave you, never made a group yet though, maybe one day.

I didn't press the create button, but I was one of the founding members of FCAW and I became the boss not long after. Four years later, we're more active than ever.

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

If you are watching this you have clicked on my profile or stolen this. I dont know why you would do that...

About me? I love Astronomy, I like to play guitar and watch anime. My future lies in Astronomy and so does the future of all of humanity. You should join my Astronomy group Space Explorers.

I created "Space Explorers" a bit over a year ago, and I must say it has been pretty successful out from my expectations. I never thought it would be easy to find many people interested in physics/astronomy in the first place, but now I have 315 members. Now it isn't one of the off-topic type of groups so you can't expect activity to be that high, but otherwise I am happy.

Had to be done.

I have never started any groups.
