My theory: We (unfortunately) know that Bungie's next game is being developed for Xbox 360 and "720". The game is most likely a launch title for the next Microsoft Console. Until that console is announced, you will probably not hear much about what Bungie is working on.

La-hoo, Za-her.

I'm still clinging to the faint hope that we'll be shown something on Bungie Day.

That sounds more reasonable. I was shocked that Microsoft didn't unveil their next console this year; the tech is so far behind it's laughable.

@trueunderdog

Chapter

Narwhallace Smithington: Gone, but not forgotten. Never approve of anything lil guy. <3
Furious George: The new -blam!-

How do you figure?

Yes it's old but games still look great on the 360. I would rather have longer console lifespans with bigger improvements between consoles than shorter lifespans with not so big improvements.

I want the new console cycle to start too, but I don't feel the need to get on my high horse about what we have right now.

The game will be released in 2013, they have E3 2013 to show something and create some hype. *If they plan on not showing anything this year.

It's assumed the game will be released in fall of 2013. Not confirmed. When DeeJ said see you in 2013, that could have easily meant "we won't be dark in 2013" and doesn't necessarily mean they will release the game in 2013. The contract says 2013, sure , but that is always tentative and could change depending on the studio's situation.

Nope, the contract gives Bungie a big bonus for not delaying the game and staying with their original estimate for a release date.

If they were still with Microsoft, I would agree. But seeing as how (I believe the 720 won't be coming out until like spring/summer 2014) Bungie is partnered with Activision, and Destiny is slated for Fall 2013, I don't think Bungie or Activision would want to wait until the 720 is out. Maybe they would port Destiny to the 720 when the 720 comes out, but that's like a year later.

I've been thinking something like this will happen as well. Basically Bungie's next game would be the "flagship" game at launch for the predecessor to the Xbox 360.

>_> If they were still with Microsoft... But Destiny will be Multi-platform.

ANYWAYS, I expect to be out of the dark in the coming months, or should I say MONTH, or should I say MONTH and one day? Ahahahaha.

Months ago Marty said we'd be out of the Dark SOON. The reason I think they weren't at E3 is because they're better than that. They're the creators of Halo for -blam!-sake! And they believe in what they have. They believe no matter when they reveal it, it will make a huge splash. At E3, why get lost in all the gaming information coming out?

When you can have your own day where all the gaming journalist sites would pick up this thing, and this thing only.

Valve and Rockstar have the same mentality.

I hope we get something on Bungie day. ANYTHING, I don't care if its just a short teaser or even a final name for their next game.

There still working on a lot of stuff for it, I'm sure. It's likely we'll hear some info drop on Bungie Day (07/07/2012).

I haven't thought about this , but it does make alotta sense. Have a game company with a proven track record for sucess spearhead your new system.

Sounds like a good business decision.
