The Infinity wasn't built for combat...[/quote]

Um...it was made by ONI. And if it isn't combat ready, why all the need for the Spartan-IVs and military vehicles and such? And you really don't think it would have any weapons?

Are you daft?

Link me to the trailer and I'll point out where the UNSC Admiral specifically says "the first UNSC cruiser not built for combat but for the expansion of the human imagination as a whole" - not word for word what he said but something like that.

EDIT: here
Starting at 1:17 "A vessel meant not to wage war but to peacefully advance human relations through the discovery of new worlds."

"A vessel designed for battle, but now repurposed...for peace."

That's like saying the Starship Enterprise isn't armed because it is an exploratory vessel.

repurposed - past participle, past tense of re·pur·pose
Verb:
Adapt for use in a different purpose.

Meaning it is no longer designed for battle. (So the 'official story' says anyway)

So they're going to rip the guns off, the new state of the art Forerunner and Covenant reverse engineered weapons, just because the war is over?

Again, it's like saying the Enterprise is unarmed, except even worse because the Infinity was actually built for war, not the Enterprise.

Hey don't look at me I didn't design the friggen game. Just one more reason to show the Halo series is circling the drain, and is finished. Moar plotholes and discrepancies for everyone!

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Don't mind him, he doesn't know his fiction.

Everytime I see a post of yours from now on that is a personal attack on anyone, not just me, I am reporting it.

Quit trolling and flaming.

Reported. Now shut up.

Cool story, bro. I'm shaking in my boots.

Oddly, this is familiar to you, as if it were from an old dream, but you can't exactly remember...

The Parasite would attempt to kill them all. What is the point in pitting them against each other?

Smith Lords

The Spartan 4's alone could board the PoA and mutilate it from the inside.

What a waste....

The Pillar of Autumn could have a chance with enough time.

You do realize that said ship also cut in half about three others in one shot each and that the Autumn got hit by the same weapon and managed to not get blown up?

Wait...how is this a plothole?

Being totally frank, but do you really know what you're on about?

I ♥ Bungie!

The Infinity.

The Autumn.

Because Keyes.

I cap fools.

If Master Chief is on the Pillar, the answer is obvious.

And in the same video:
"Today we set forth a vessel designed for battle, but now re-purposed... for peace."

Also, how do you miss the gigantic (S?)MAC on the front of the ship? Or the hundreds of missile pods along the sides?

Hands down...Infinity..
