Every one of you who has posted in the Halo 3 weapons post seems to be forgetting that Bungie has to create these weapons not ONLY for multi-player but for campagin as well. Every add on and adjustment you suggest for a Covenant weapon is an add on to the enemys aresnal.

Think:

If the plasma rifle is beefed up, Elites kill you twice as fast; you get pinned down with no grenades? Good luck ever getting out.

Better tracking/explosions with needlers? Try seeing youre way out of a group of 6 needler weilding grunts.

They are good ideas but you have to suggest things that work on both levels of play not just one. Take mines, they would be awesome on campagin, but for multi-player they just cant work. You can place them at spawn points or weapon points plus the added bonus of a teammate not telling anyone where hes going minehappy.

Just try to remember that Bungie isnt making Halo 3 only for the multi-player aspect, they have thought and rethought about what would work and what wouldnt in both types of gameplay. They need both sides to work seemlessly together and thats what has made Halo CE and Halo 2 such great games.

Weapons and gameplay for campaign do not directly affect multiplayer...for example, Elites have far more shielding in campaign. Also...mines are totally more multiplayer oriented than single player, so I don't really understand your comment very much.

Ya new weapons would make Halo III a little lame. i hate games with like 50 weapons to choose from its better having a small selection.

The thing is Halo is known for the multiplayer aspect. The multiplayer is fast paced, with lots of actions, and takes more skill rather than luck. Although you do make a good arguement, but remember, you can be insanely good in the single player, but it doesnt mean you will be uber l337 on multiplayer.

That's why you should be more dilligent in single player and multiplayer instead of just running out in the open.

if people remove and add weapons to h3, then your selection isn't any larger. Mines would be absolutely amazing in multiplayer, if you had a remote detonator, stick it under a hog, hide in a cave. Then when 3 enemies jump in the hog, set it off and and blow all 3 to HELL MWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No they won't. Multiplayer is a whole different story than single player. Just look at the covenant rocket launcher (sorry i'm not a geek i don't know the names for things)...they kept it out of multiplayer because of balance issues. I'm sure if one weapon is way too strong for single player they can dumb it down for online.
