Hello, my fellow Bnet members. I have been a Bnet forum lurker since a while ago, and frankly, I am surprised that Bungie.net still does not offer forum posters the option to "save" a draft of their unfinished post(s) before publishing them.

Here is my sales pitch:
1. This feature will be very beneficial to certain members that often use up the 10000 character limit in their posts - namely Universe hotshots and fanfiction authors.

2. This feature will benefit the community as a whole; members who surf Bnet on mobile devices can reply on-the-go and save their posts when they need to log off.

3. An option to save your posts will drastically reduce mistakes in posts as users are allowed to sit on their writing without fear of losing it if they log off, making the forum much more intelligible (and intelligent) in general.

4. Promotes the "think before you post" paradigm. This can prevent people from posting what they may regret later.

I know it will take a lot of resources to implement this feature throughout Bnet, but the number of drafts one can save can be limited and I predict the benefits will be great nevertheless.

Thank you for reading/considering my humble request!
It feels good to be back on Bnet!

A feature akin to that is available in Posting Tools 4.4.

Definitely use the script to facilitate this if you want, but I'm curious why, if you're writing threads like that, you can't save the text elsewhere. It's pretty easy to save text somewhere. I don't see why that's up to the website to do for you.

Thanks for pointing this out. I just wish the features were a little more standard, that's all.

I am wondering this as well.

OP, would it not be easier to keep a text document of lengthier posts?

Yeah, you shouldn't have to download anything to use a feature.

This would be great for long posts, because you would be less likely to accidentally refresh the page or go to a different one, losing the whole post.

I ♥ Bungie!

I would like this.

I just save it as a text file, or more usually if I'm constructing a longer thread, I make a private group for the brainstorming and creation of said thread so I can see exactly what it will look like when I post it.

I'm not sure where that logic comes from, but i know that posting tools and many other scripts are immensely helpful. Also, they are made by b.net members and are updated more frequently. Support your community brah.

Also, this exactly. Again gets more involvement with your fellow bungians. I'm not sure how far the usefulness of an integrated "Save/load post" feature would go.

I'd like that feature.

I'd also like a feature where you can save posts similarly like where you save threads. Whether it be because it's comedic, clever, epic, or intellectual.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

Even sometimes when I hit post it bugs out and posts nothing at all. It's great. Now I copy every long post I make incase this happens again.

I have an idea, this idea for use with up to 7 posts as a recent post d-base. Perhaps up to that number as "Edit Capable" and a list saving all the other users posts. I'd like a d-base on the b-net for my memories, to move.

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

Ctrl+Z works for me. If I ever mess up I can just use this, although before I figured this out I lost a lot of long posts.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

Nice idea, OP :)

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

Active 9/1/11, Heroic 12/25/12

It's a good idea, being able to save a draft is never a bad thing.
