Subject: Thank you for handing over Halo to 343

Bungie should give out Blumpkins to everyone that bought Halo 3

Because you Bungie, are bad at making games. Halo Reach is a steaming pile and I think at peek you only get about 30k players worldwide. Ohh and the fact that it was taken off of the MLG Pro circuit because no one wanted to watch the pos game anymore. Thank you for giving it up. And thank you for not coming to E3 this year as I'm sure no one gives a -blam!- about what other monumental failure of a game you'll screw your fans over with next.

Halo 3 was good, and made by bungie.

Logic. Frankly I'm glad Reach exists, it points out several CLEAR mistakes on where NOT to go with the gameplay, meaning 343i now knows what they should do and what they shouldn't.

Reach still sucks, but it's helping shape Halo's future by ensuring the same mistakes aren't made.

Yeah they only created Halo single-handedly.... they're just the worst.

I didn't think Reach was considered that bad, what does everyone seem to hate about it?

Well the gameplay was overall terrible, the art style hurt my eyes, and the map design was just god awful.

People say armor abilities is one of those bad things. Armor abilities are in Halo 4.

First of all Armor Abilities were a good idea, but executed poorly, if they're refined they can be made to be very good for gameplay.

And would people shut up about the Ordnance thing being like Call of Duty? So what if it's a killstreak type thing, not everything has to be compared to -blam!- Call of Duty, Jesus Christ people.

I do like the Ordnance drops, they reward players who can actually get kills in a single life with a simple weapon or small upgrade randomly. It should be interesting.

So far the Armor Abilities shown are ones that didn't really effect gameplay.

1. Hardlight Shield
2. Thursters (essentially Evade by can now thrust upwards)
3. Promethean Vision
4. Autosentry
5. Regeneration Field
6. Hologram

The only Armor Ability most people had a problem with is Armor Lock, which is gone, and Sprint is now default but has a speed up from what I understand which means no more "two hitters".

The main problem with Reach was not the AAs, it was the gameplay. Besides would you rather Bungie had created Halo 3 V2 rather than a new game with new gameplay mechanics? If so then you're no better than a CoD player.

It is bad that people are rewarded when they are leading (or at least dominating several players) anyway. Let's teams win faster and makes the game faster (which is BTW not a good thing; just look at COD).

Also, why would i be "no better than a CoD player" if i were to say Bungie made the better Halos? I don't think Bungie should have made the next Halo. In fact, they could have just left the Franchise at it's peak point. But Microsoft is just a money-hungry whore.

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

LOL

You like Halo enough that a bad halo game bothers you.

You suggest the creater of what you have come to love sucks as a creator.

Logic fail?

This is like loving cars and suggesting the guy who invented the engine was an idiot.

Didn't see your post before I did. I already hate the idea's 343i has put forward for multiplayer. My only focus is the way the campaign is headed since I can't bear to think about Halo 4's MP.
I share your thoughts on how barftacularly CoDified it will be. (Forgive the made up words, I'm on the same page as you about MP)

Okay. I still don't like the whole so-called "lore" or whatever they did with those books and the Halo 4 SP Campaign.

The weapons being presented in ordnances are random, and would usually be weapons you could find around the map. Only really good players would be able to acquire them assuming 343i put in a system where it resets when you die. Halo 4 was always going to be, we knew this since 2007.

I think the only thing we can agree on is that Microsoft is a bunch of money-whores.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I'm thankful for Halo CE, 2, 3, and ODST from Bungie (And Wars from Ensemble). But, it was clear with Reach that they needed to leave. They basically screwed us over with a game like that. The frustration people get that stem from that game is logical. They took a story we loved then tried telling their own crappy story, which they clearly didn't care about. All they cared about was multiplayer. And even that was a fail. They just catered to the casuals to get more sales. The entire game was just a failure. I'm glad that 343 has taken the reigns.

I think it's pretty certain that 343i didn't make it so you could carry ordnance streaks over.

Also this conversation is over, if I continue this will end up a flame war, and arguing with people about a video game is not something I'm gonna go too far into.

You obviously hate Halo 4, don't care why, don't buy it is all I have to say.

Check out my Youtube Channel!

Reach was the oddball (lol, halo puns) of the series. Bungie wanted to do things different for once, its not thier fault they didnt want to make the same game over again. and as far as the MLG thing, thats the communities fault, not bungies.

1: Sounds awfully like armor lock. Maybe not the exact same workings, but very very similar.
2: Meh. Weak jetpack.
3: X-ray vision. That doesn't affect gameplay?
4: That sounds like placing a turret that fires on enemies. Again, that doesn't affect gameplay?
5: Meh. The healing bubble shield from Reach I guess.
6: Depends how they do it.

I'm sorry, but your choice of words was bad. All armor abilities "Affect gameplay"

Two hitter melees? Well you see, I'm thinking they'll still be around. Wasn't the title update supposed to eliminate that? But when I tried the zero bloom/TU gametype, I was rewarded for being a loony and using the AR as a club.

I personally liked the original Halo Reach gameplay. The funny thing is, people -blam!-ing about it's gameplay usually follow with "It's not halo style gameplay anymore." and, no offense, it's kinda funny to see those guys support Halo 4, especially it's MP, cause Halo 4 is even farther from the 'halo style' in terms of gameplay as I hear it.

And again, my point was people -blam!-ed about Sprint, armor lock, and in general, typically AA's overall. Exacuted poorly or not, people didn't like then. And 343 is bringing them back. Sure, no armor lock. but hardlight shield sounds like a replacement.

My real, personal problem with Halo 4 MP. As described right now. Is they seem to be nabbing things from other games. Weapon skins from gears of war. killcams from CoD and other games. So on so forth. We'll see once the game comes out, but I don't see it all working perfectly together. Or feeling like good old halo as some people want.

Ordnance drops, kill streaks... Call it what you want, but still. Bob has a large kill streak. He gets a better weapon/upgrade. His killstreak grows, cause he got that boost to shields right before the enemy team attacked. As others said, rewarding the guys who have the lead by giving them an easier time killing others/etc, is just going to widen the gap of points. Better off to simply not have it at all, like halo. (And you know, since they made MP canon, I'd love to see how they expect S4's to get a new gun dropped in after they kill 4 elites in a row)

Edit: Wow rant. lol. As a post just above mine said. Bungie tried new things with the gameplay in Halo Reach. A vocal group started -blam!-ing about it. Now 343 is doing even MORE drastic things to the gameplay, and everybody's praising them?

Everyone hopes 343i will do a "better" job than Bungie. So far, i'm not seeing it.

What bugs me the most though is, that they let "multi-universe" writers write the story and even make it a crucial part of their game. A game which is really not needed.

They could write the books now for all I care, but please don't bring this "story" to my attention by making a Halo 4.

Invent some other Title and make the story somewhere else. I want to remember Halo as being good. For the most part at least.
