the only thing i hope they might consider is if you had a holder or sling for your second weapon so people can see what you have instead of just whipping it out of you pants.

2 weapons keeps it more realistic.

The way I see this is if it’s not broke don’t fix it….

The game dynamic is fine how it is.

Being limited too 2 weapons means there is that occasion where you need decide which is the right weapon to take on, where-as being able to take the whole armory means that choice is not there, makes things boring.

With only 2 weapons you can be caught out with the wrong type of weapons, or limited ammo which means you need to use pure skill and innovative to overcome the battle. Once again with the whole lot with you things would be boring, always having the right weapon for the job isn’t always the funest thing.

Being limited to one weapon would be very annoying and limit the use of long/short ranged weapons (After all sniping with a Shotgun isn’t really effective)

i agree. but if u can hold another weapon it would have to be a small one. (pistol, knife ect)

...only in The Flood

Yo should be able to put away BOTH of the weapons you're dual-weilding without dropping one

  • 06.08.2006 11:15 PM PDT

id like 2 main weapons, i.e COmbat Rifle and sniper.. and 1 sidearm
sidearm can be kept but the 2nd weapon needs to be discarded when dual wielding

Dawn of the Dead video Here
6 Minutes of Hell video here

I would expect, and hope, it will remain 2 weapons at a time. But if they had to change it, I would want a system where you could carry three weapons total, two medium to heavy weapons, and one light weapon. So a sniper, a shotgun, and an smg, or a Rocket, BR, and Magnum. I still say two weapons.

you gotta keep it as two weapons

If we start going on about "two weapons and a side arm/ two heavy weapons and a light weapon"
then eventually we're just gunna end up playing Perfect Dark 0

carry a pistol, grenades and 2 weapons of your choice eg shotgun and rocket launcher etc

what about that?

You already have the ability to carry 3 weapons in Halo 2.

Dual wield + other weapon = 3 weapons.

So I don't see why the MC should need any more weapons! Besides, it keeps an element of realism in the game (aside from the magic pocket in his leg from which rockets are produced)...

It's hard to cycle through weapons. Say you need a sniper, well you have to cycle through to find it, and then the guy takes a portal (multiplayer) and ends up next to you, and say the shotgun was the previous weapon before the sniper. By the timeyou cycle through, you're most likely dead, unless you have grenades

Why don't bungie make a system where the bigger the weapon you have the fewer other weapons you can carry.

So if you had a rocket launcher you could only carry an smg or pistal.

But another thing is the trouble of finding ammo for all the weapons. For example converting from H1 to H2, I found difficult because you have to keep switching (say plasma rifles) to keep ammo supplies at maximum.

I'd be interested to see how Bungie tackles the Plasma ammo in Halo 3. Perhaps we can finally have recharge cartridges for Plasma Rifles/Plasma Pistols?

But as long as they keep away from ammo-issues in other games, such as Doom 3 (a box of ammo every half-hour), or King Kong (no ammo, just lots of sticks), then I think we should be ok either way...

Youd also think that the humans would have learnt how to recharge them by now to!

Plasma weapons don't need a recharge pack! The clip lasts long enough as it is, and the plasma weapons are always really easy to come by.

the fuel rod gun needs ammo, it can't just run on battery, as seen in halo pc, it's a spawn camping tool, it needs to reload like the rockets and flamethrowers. But yeah, plasma pistol/rifles don't need recharging packs or batteries.
