Subject: Halo 3 carry more that 2 weapons ?

If you want only one weapon, go play Oni. If you want some crazy weapon system that takes weapon size into account, go play Perfect Dark Zero. The two weapon system is as much a part of Halo strategy as vehicles and co-op. It's what set Halo: CE apart upon its conception.

By the way, Halo: CE and Halo 2 both have had the "knife" that you speak of. It's called the B button. Also, Pariah had a seperate weapon for melee attacks and it was quite possibly the most frustrating and most poorly conceived weapon systems in a video game to date.

Even though in Halo 2 you already hold three weapons (technically), I think they should expanded on the old idea, one thing I hate was when you melee or did any other action you automatically loss your third weapon, a player should only be able to hold 2 main weapons like a rifle or rocket launcher, but like in halo 2 you only wield 2 weapons if they are small arms.

The Y button should scroll through two weapons like it already does, but you can only activate the third weapon if you are using a small arm. You can of course change it with other small weapons. The d pad sold be used for this, like in doom 3

This has many directions but it really is up and it would take ages to perfect.

P.S. you should only be able to use a knife if you can throw it and pick it up afterwards, otherwise in terms of halo theres no point.

Hmmm...I love the way PDZ does things...Have an inventory with "slots". Four is a good number, so you can keep two normal weapons, a normal and two lights, four lights, or one heavy and one light.

And perhaps a grenade carrying increase? Or an INFINITE GRENADES OPTION??? I loved infinite plasmas...I loved-ed them so much.

Two weapon slots are what makes Halo so unique, straight up. If you take that away, you're taking away part of its essence.

No -blam!- way. No more ideas trying to subvert what made Halo what it is. I'm sick of people making dumb suggestions that seem hell-bent on transforming Halo into a generic FPS with all the same conventions that the others have. Stop it now please.

You might as well say how about a non-recharging energy shield.
