Lol. I'm not just talking about the graphics.
How many controller slots are there for the Playstation 2, huh? Last time I checked, there were two, meaning two players. Now, let's say that you get the extension that allows more controllers to connect to the PS2, raising it to four players. Now let's do a system link between two PS2s. What does that get you? A total of eight players. And most PS2 games don't even support games up to eight players, am I correct? Half of the maps in Halo are quite huge, and would be too big for 2-8 players.
Next, imagine how crappy it would look trying to run huge single-player levels and big multiplayer maps like Sidewinder or Assault on the Control Room. It would either run really slow on the PS2, because of all the great graphics, or it would look really crappy, to compensate for a smooth framerate.
Next time, think before you try to contradict me.
Last time I checked a xbox with only 2 systems can play only 8 players as well.
Playstation 2 Does have a network adapter if that is what your talking about because I have no idea how is this an issue, because you could easily get up to 16 players using playstations. I still don't see what you going at.
How would you know it would run really slow. You just put Playstation 2 out before you can even thing about what it is capible of. Do you have any idea of what kind of stuff you can do with coding. Draw events and be done in several ways. Starting with a simple one of. If you want you could tell a polygon not to draw if it is too far away from the character. Saving you memory and space. So you never loose FPS.
Another one is the one that bungie choose to do for the Xbox your just too stupid to notice. At a certain distance the model will reduce polygons to make sure that space is saved. So if your so many o what is that term.... .... .... w/e if your a certain distance away from a banshee which has about 1000 polygons it will go from 1000 to 800 then even lower I think the lowest is 500. So if you look at it you still see a banshee but it has less polygons.
playstation 2 has NO online kim.
Playstation 2 does have online.
It doesn't have a online service that charges you a lot of money, but you can still play online.
