I think 32 would be plenty, I mean if you look at some new games on the 360 right now, they don't even go past 16 players. So I'm sure 32 would work just fine for halo 3.
speaking of lag would it be a bad idea to separte players according to their connection
I'm always happy with 16. 24 would be nice. 32 would be great. 50 is pushing it.
Posted by: staphanIt all depends on how good the gameplay and the maps are. If you would have 50 players in a Halo 2 game it would probably be pretty awkward and not very fun, but it might work in Halo 3 if the maps are good. That means we need to excavate Containment and Coagulation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOOOOOOO, The reason halo 1 and 2 were so great is because there were small games, which made it possible to communicate and have teamwork...... If you want alot of players go play BF2:MC
12v12 cus in h2 sometimes u dont have enought men to actually have an effective team strategy and with 4 more on a team it would fill in a lot of gaps i have when trying to get a strategy

I say 16vs16(30). It will be double what Halo 2 was and will be great. Halo multiplayer would truly be war!
OMG are you serious dude do you not have any lag on your xbox or something, i get mild lag just on the 8 vs 8, i'd hate to imagine what 25 vs 25 would be like.
