Months ago I asked Frankie via email on the best steps from bungie's perspective on how to get into game development, he never responded, wether he does not like future 3D artists or concept creators we will never know, but i still have questions, so anybody with somewhat geniune input can answer, and any people from bungie with a spare second on how they got to there positions would be greatly appreciated. Being Canadian (F**k Yah!) i have already visited Vancouver, BC the game development capital of Canada, with such famous places as EA Canada (NFS: Underground 2, 007 Everything or Nothing), Rockstar Vancouver (oh you can figure it out), Relic entertainment (Homeworld 1 and um 2) and Radical Entertainment (Simpsons hit and run). It also has several very good game design colleges such as the College of Interactive Arts, VanArts and the Vancouver Film School. 2 of which I toured and got lots of interesting information about good game design education after my 16-month diploma of Multimedia Production is done here in gorgerous Lethbridge Alberta.

So to close if anybody who has some time, wether your from Bungie (FRANKIE! answer me!), another developer or just plain enlightened drop a line, the information would be gladly appreciated

Thanks

yoo•zel- ('yoo-zhul): slang: vb.

Officium quod Fidelitas.

It all depends on what you want to do in the industry. Picking a path will determin what you study in college/university. One person who might be able to offer some advice to you would be Shishka, try shooting him a PM.

Bungie alredy has a few guides on this. Here they are

Animator
Programmer
Game Designer
Tester

There are probably more, but I'm lazy.
