There is no limit on how many message you can store in your inbox. It's like email.
You can have as many email as you want.

Although, it safe to say that you should clean your inbox once in awhile to avoid potential loading time.

There is a theoretical limit though.

I'm at 29 pages.

I clean mine out when I hit 50, otherwise I get tons of errors. After a good clean out I usually dip down to 7.

Don't clean you inbox

We should start some sort of competition to see who has the most received messages in Bungie.net

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

The Black Chapter!

My inbox is completely empty.

Not that this is relevant to the OP's question, but we seem to be all comparing our inbox lengths so I thought I'd throw mine into the ring.

Been on bnet for over four years and have only 2 pages of messages. How do people have 80?

No one wants to talk to us, apparently.

  • 06.11.2012 10:16 AM PDT

Not sure. All I know is that I delete messages when I've read them.

For Carnage Apply Within

They think that they have pacified Ireland. They think that they have purchased half of us and intimidated the other half. They think that they have foreseen everything, think that they have provided against everything; but the fools, the fools, the fools! — they have left us our Fenian dead, and while Ireland holds these graves, Ireland unfree shall never be at peace

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

You don't want to let messages sit around in your inbox. If you do, your inbox becomes harder and harder to open and eventually won't open at all. It gets really annoying. And then Achronos sends you a message very strongly suggesting that you clear it out.

Of course, none of you are even CLOSE. When I cleared out my inbox as a result of a "strong suggestion" from an unnamed administrator, I had around 3000 pages of messages. I hear Urk had a much higher number and was threatened with bodily harm to him and/or his loved ones.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

How does Achronos know how many pages of PMs you have if you can;t open it?

I don't know. Maybe he gets the information from someone who runs the site. A Bungie.net "Overlord" of sorts.
