If I'm not mistaken, some games allow players to adjust the level of gore. Also, what about individual horizontal and vertical sensitivities? I'm certain there are games that have that. Why not Halo? It's always been 1 sensitivity setting (except in PC).

Same here!
The level of gore setting in any console shooter would just be a personal preference; it wouldn't really be for performance/graphics. I'm not saying it couldn't impact frame rate but at the same time most console games have a locked frame rate of 30.

The reason for things like advanced control configurations not being in Halo, as elitist as this sounds coming from a PC guy, is developers think console gamers are too stupid. I can't remember exactly where I read it but I remember someone from Bungie commenting that they'd rather have pre-set controls instead of custom configurations because they're afraid people will "screw it up" and "not know how to fix it" resulting in the consumer getting angry at the developer.

In Reach, you could go from 10 FPS to 20 FPS.

I see.

Well, wouldn't that be because of the age group? I mean when I have a problem with my games, I don't immediately go to the developer about it. I try to fix it myself and most of the time, can manage it.

The only age group that would be acceptable in getting mad about something like that would be a 7 year old and a 7 year old shouldn't be playing the game in the first place. They also shouldn't have access to a forum.

If you're about that age and will "break" a control configuration (Which, by the way, is beyond easy to fix by just hitting "Set to Default") you're mentally handicapped. That's what Bungie thinks of their fanbase. *thumbs up*

I'm 19 but I can't say that I behave like one.

My console and controller are victims of my rage. I've lost quite a lot of H3 discs might I add.

But if you think that's bad, look at what I do in-game. I'd say I could be qualified for game testing by finding broken things.

I didn't mean the getting angry part; I'm talking about the "screwing up a controller configuration" part. I don't even see how anyone could actually "screw it up". You can just set it to default so Bungie must really think people are complete morons. Who is to blame them at this point, though?

I think smashing a controller could be counted as screwing up the configuration.

Well then, I am quite surprised.

I view it as improvement. :P The left and right stick are more fluid once the covering plastic's torn off. There also comes a time where LB/RB become less responsive. A good fixing changes that (as in, cutting off the damn bumpers and area surrounding it so I can press the small buttons with a finger nail).

The only time my raging has severely damaged a controller was my third one (I've had only 3 Xbox 360 controllers in my lifetime). One of the sticks broke. :/

You've become the expert of short funny replies on this forum, haven't you?

One thing I'd really really would like to see for H2 Vista is a skull menu.

It's terribly agonizing to have to go to AppData\Local\Microsoft\Halo 2 every single time I want to access a save game but that's not the worst of it. Once I get there, how the hell am I supposed to know which profile is which? So I have to trial and error until I find the right one then I have to catalog it.
