I made a new wallpaper for myself based off of the released Halo 3 storyboard images showing the Chief. I liked the background, but not the sketch of MC, so I put the Chief's digital version in, modified it a bit, and added the Halo 3 logo. I haven't seen one of these yet, so I thought I'd post it.

Standard Aspect Ratio 4:3 Click me!
And one on dark paper: here
And one with a black border (much better)
here

Widescreen 16:9
or Click me!
Best one IMO
here

Let me know what you like!
Change requests invited - I will probably have time.

You missed the point like Vader missed the banshee, your whole argument is covered in bees.
Stop sending me group invites -blam!-s!

the way the edges are blurred makes it look like someone painted it with watercolours real nice two thumbs up

New dark versions will be posted (as per an HBO request) in the first post shortly.

A new widescreen tighter version too.

Might have been messed up for a second while I added links (stupid long line breaks during edits...)

Should all work now. They're jpegs, though they are all large, so maybe your browser isn't automatically resizing them.

That's very true. They took a little over half an hour. Some people don't have Photoshop or The Gimp yet like to have pretty pictures on their desktops. I made them available for people to use. Clearly, some people like them. There's no reason to be jerk.

Feel free to make your own. No offense, but grow up.

I was just submitting my opinion like you asked me to. You're the one being a jerk.

Heh, I said "tell me what you like." :) Don't worry about it. I'd rather focus on the positive than the negative.

I actually ended up layering 3 other filters instead and then painted over it (look at the hands). I was trying to get close to the look of the original sketch, which was rough but had details where it mattered.

Anyway, thanks everyone!
