I guess this is the right forum, anyway:

So, I was considering making a mod of Star Wars Empire at War that is halo related. I need models, of course, and so far I assumed that I needed to make them myself because of Microsoft's content rules. This is where I have my question. The rules state:

"You can't reverse engineer our games to access the assets or otherwise do things that the games don't normally permit in order to create your Items."

Does this statement also apply to Halo CE due to the fact that Halo Custom Edition was made directly for editing?

Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

You want the flood forum or Xbox.com forums.

8/5/08 Bungie Favorites- NoEnd
7/1/09 Bungie Favorites- RECON Devil
9/9/09 Bungie Favorites- Champion
5/22/10 HaloCharts Favs- Prey

As long as you're not making money off of it I think you'll fly under the radar. I'm not entirely sure however.

To be honest, I don't think you'd ever get called out for it even if it were against the rules unless you were trying to make money off of it. I know the 'don't make money off of it' is separate in the Rules, but it's generally a pretty good line to follow.
