Im not sure if this has been posted yet but im givin it a shot anyway. I mean its just an idea i had for halo 3 multiplayer.
What if you could control the weather.... like if before the game your could chose the option if you wanted to make it dark, sunny, couldy, rainy ect ect..that would be sweet in my opinion..i would love to run around in the rain or in the dark....just post your thoughts on it cause it would be a cool addon i think

that would be interesting.
simple stuff would be cool also, snow, rain, night, day, cloudy. stuff like that.
that would make fun gameplay. and this is on the 360, so say snow, water can freeze. or rain ti will get muddy.
make it actually affect gameplay itself!

i think it has been brought up, but i like the idea. the only reason i wouldn't want it is that it will benefit certain armor colors. darker colors will naturally be harder to spot in darky settings, especially if there is rain. look at fricken backwash for cryin out loud.

yeah it woudl benifit other armour types but it would give a sence of stealth to the game somewhat...sneaking around getting behind your opponent... or just getting to a sniping spot

you guys are making points about armor shades and stuff.

but say we get to choose color for people.

i think it would be awsome to be a black elite or sumthing on a night match. use stealth to my advantage.

but say for night battles no active camo unless its chosen.

anything could work.

i agree, but that is why they removed the black armor for halo 2, you just had to find a nice shadowed area, like in rat race, and you were pretty much invisible.

yeah it would be hard to spot players in some areas and stuff...but like it would be kinda fun though not knowing where your opponent is..and tey dont know where your are...sneaking around

don't ge me wrong, i love the idea and all, i don't care what color a persons armor is. but many of the crybabies that play this game would make a big deal of it. and i personally don't want to listen to some kid whine about how the only reason i beat him was because i was wearing dark armor.

I've been craving the ability to manipulate the weather in multiplayer
ever since I saw a 'midnight' mod for Zanzibar on the net.

It's obviously doable and would be dynamite to play. Like the above post states, the only problem would be keeping gameplay balanced in matchmaking for the same reason they removed the black armour from Halo 2 multiplayer. This wouldn't be a problem for team games because your either red or blue. While some players would argue that certain maps favour one colour and some favour the other, they are too similar to give any significant
advantage.

Bring on rain 'cos I wanna drive through some puddles!

actually it's funny you bring up the red/blue thing. the argument about one having an advantage isn't that far fetched. it doesn't apply in all maps but think about it, what color stands out more, red, what color draws you attention more, red, what color is brighter, red. it's the same principal behind cars and speeding tickets. two cars traveling down the highway, one red on blue, both speeding 30mph over the speed limit. the red cars chances of getting the ticket are far higher simply because it catches the attention of the officer. granted this will not prove true in all situations simply because nothing is absolut, but i think you get the point.

thats true... your are red or blue (unless your in 3v3 which then yoru red blue green and yello i think) but it wouldnt just give one team an advantage anyway... it would be everyone..or hell if ppl dont want to put it in because of it would be dark and hard to see...what about nightvision?

night vision like bright green from the game, or just a higher contrast for the night levels?

Personally i think that a game type where its raining, and fairly dark, so that you can't see very far, then having lightning flashes that light up the map every so often.
