By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

*chortles*

Honestly, the only mission even close to being good in this game is New Alexandria. The rest are all either horrific, or just horrific rip-offs of moments from the other games but seriously dumbed down.

  • 06.12.2012 2:19 AM PDT

Hmmm I'd have to say tie between assault on the control room and truth and reconciliation

  • 06.12.2012 2:45 AM PDT

Games I like:,
Half-Minute Hero
MBU
Portal
Halo 3 is the best Halo ever
Maps I like: Turf, Avalanche, Pylon, Sandbox, Breakpoint and many more.

Finally a like-minded person on the Reach Forum.

You said it!

There needs to be a gametype where everyone has a Saber and you have a Saberfight.

Wouldn't that be awesome!?

QFT

I can't choose a favorite Reach level, because they are all terrible.

Yes. And my favourite mission is The Pillar of Autumn. You do know of that mission, right?

OP Clearly hasn't played the campaign.

the gun pointed at the head of the universe

I like Sword Base. Although Exodus/Pillar of Autumn are the best missions.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Also, ITT, players who don't know the meaning of linear (hint: LNoS). Any Reach mission is better than LNoS.

LNoS' mission start is the greatest insult to Halo ever. It's always the same thing: troopers get pwned by the respawning enemies, Pelican comes in and steals all the glory. The only purpose of mission start is looks and point whoring.

Don't bring up the Seraph. That's pointless. Why? IT'S NOT SUPPORTED. A.k.a H3 Banshee in campaign. Why bother going through all the trouble when you could just download a modded game save containing a full Seraph?

The space battle takes up a huge portion of gameplay and it's hardly dynamic.

The only fun part of LNoS is near the mission end, or so I've heard, but the particular encounter I'm thinking of, apparently has only 3-4 Elites. This is nothing compared to CE's enemy numbers. And of course, getting in the Pelican turret is far more cheaper than hiding out and camping on T&R since you can't be threatened at all.

Stealth is only possible in the control room because that's scripted. Anywhere else and the troopers will ruin stealth.

I love the whole game, although I would want to say Winter Contingency cause of the awesome opening and music combo, the level is way too easy even LASO. I'd have to agree with New Alexandria, that level has beat the crap out of me more than any other. All though I also love LNoS.

Tip of the Spear and Sword Base since they have a majority of in warthogs and some easter eggs.

I would personally find that getting a bit old fairly quickly.
