After seeing the occasional art that Bungie asks to submit in some previous mail sacks, I thought it would be cool to have a thread that would allow these creative individuals to submit art or content freely.
Please use this thread to share links to your community creations, what I have seen in past mail sacks and over the years inspire me every day. You guys truly express what a gaming community can really do!
So fire up your version of Photoshop, find an acceptable and suitable way to host your creations online, and shoot back a link, I can't wait to see what kind of talent lurks within these forum walls.
Anyone can submit content, developers and players alike are free to express themselves on whatever medium they wish. The only exception to this rule is John Stvan, "Being Awesome" is not a form of expression!
Posting Guidelines
- Please use an acceptable method of hosting your content, safe for work websites only.
- If you share another person's work, make sure to credit them and have their permission to submit their content, I will not provide or serve as an attorney if you get in trouble!
- If by chance your work is code, please provide a link to the code, Bungie.net is not your compiler!
- Developers can not submit content on any new universe until the project has been officially announced. Lets not spoil the surprise that Bungie or any other developer has in store for their community.
- Please make the content you or someone else creates safe for work before you post.
- There are other places to submit in-game screenshots.
Critiquing Someone's Work
*Please respect these guidelines when critiquing, these guidelines are equally important to the rules of this thread.*
- Please use constructive criticism:
*Let the author know the reason behind your opinion.
*Suggest ways they could improve their work.
*Let the author know what you like about their work
*Let the author know what you like or really enjoy about their work.
Ideas For Submission
*Photoshop Artwork
*Scanned Drawings
*Photography
*Writing, Stories, Fan-Fiction
*3D Modeling
*Textures
*Animations
*Code - (Yes, programming is considered an art.)
Preferences
*Please note that all of these are optional, they are just cool details you can note if you choose to do so.*
- If you submit Photoshop art or scanned drawings, you can explain a little bit about the work and/or how long it took to create.
- If you submit photography, we'd love to hear a little about the vision or idea the photograph captures.
- If you submit a 3D model, it would be cool to know the polygon count and/or how long it took to create.
- If you submit textures, you could include the texture size, resolution, and/or how long it took to create.
- If you submit an animation, you can share the frames per second it runs at, how many frames it took, or polygon count for 3D animations.
- If you submit code, it would be nice to know the programming language used, the functionality of the code, and if you really want to describe the technical aspects of the code, go for it!
*This thread's purpose is to showcase the talent of the Bungie community*
