I have been following this for a while at Halomods and Gearbox forums, looks great. Also, you are going to confuse the hell out of the Bungie forums community because half of them are morons that don't know crap about mods.

I dont either. I think for now, it's going to be in the beta's up till the final one(s). After a debate earlier today, I'm 90% positive it will be white/normal light.

THIS LOOKS COOL!
So let’s see if I got all this down right...You have just recreated everything but the maps for every halo story mission. Destructible vehicles (drop ship included), vehicles that show battle damage, new totally original weapons, H2 weapons, Spartans in the place of marines, a new Spartan look (I'm not sure but the Spartan design looks a bit different from Halo 2, mainly just the helmet and visor.), New vehicles, flame thrower in the missions, etc.

A few questions I have:
Will the rocket launcher have the lock on feature?
Will the graphics be less demanding, as in graphics cards of less performance can actually withstand and show some satisfactory graphics (you guys right the wrong of Gear Box).
Will this follow the story line of Halo1 to the key details?
Will we be able to play multiplayer in these maps? (Co-op)
Are there going to be load screens in the levels or will it just be one open thing where you wount have to fear the dreaded load screen lag.
Will there be destructible environments (taking it further then shattering glass and bullet holes)
And lol please tell me you are going to add in cross hairs to the weapons.
Will you die in more than oh say 5 different ways... I get sick of seeing person after person dying in the same way over and over again. I my self would love the corpses of bipeds just to go rag doll and flop in any which way.

The rocket launcher will not have a lock on feature such as the one in Halo 2. The Anti-Air Rocket Launcher will have a homing feature though. This will allow for pretty much non-leading shots for dropships and such. You will still have to get the reticle to turn red for this to happen though. It's nothing like the H2 plasma pistol

I cant really answer your graphics question directly. I personally run an AIW 9800 pro with 2x256MB of ram with a 2.8 Northwood and I have never had a graphics hitch with the mod since we started final testing and bug fixing. I also run Halo at 1280x1024, so that should give you a decent idea. I haven't heard much moaning and -blam!-ing from our beta testers on the low-end systems as they beg for the graphics to be lowered, so I think it'll be allright unless you're running something that barely meets minimum requirements to begin with.

The level geometry, scripting, voice acting, and plot are still exactly the same. This is a visual and gameplay mod.

I've tried many different ways and have conferred with the Prometheus team lead on the subject. We've both concluded that the code for splitting the screen on PC was left out when Gearbox did the port. It might be there, but I keep getting false to return when I try. Assuming we will graciously be provided with the tools, there will eventually be a port of the mod to Xbox after we rework the shaders so everything will appear.

I think at most I've experienced about 5-10 seconds for loading a campaign level from a fresh start of CE. When progressing from level to level, I dont even notice a transition. It should work pretty much the same as if you were playing the normal campaign on PC.

Unfortuneately, no there will not be destructible environments. While it is possible, it's not possible at the same time with the tools we are provided to work with.

The HUD is there and working normally on most weapons. The video where there was not a HUD or crosshairs was taken with probably one of Bitter Bananna's trainer/hacks. They are there, so dont worry.

:\, I'm no expert, but I think the death animations are based on the method you die and lack permutations.




And for Spartan VERYLONGNUMBER, if by m203 you mean grenade launcher then maybe. It was custom modeled by Wave of Lag so you would have to ask him. It might be an exact model or it might be an inspired piece. Either way, it shoots grenades when you push the right mouse button and makes things go boom :D.

I think Zeph answered most of your qustions but I would like to adress character death animations. We can't do ragdoll in CE, but we do plan on getting the Masterchief some new animations. As far as elites, possible, but only if we have time. Things like new biped animations are a low priority, as we want the mod looking and playing the best we can before minor details like that are put in. But I must agree, I am sick of the Halo1Chief anims.

dude i dont think it is a M203. The 203 is a single-shot launcher and he said that this one was a 12(?) shot laucher. Either that or he ment that you can carry 12 nades for it at a time............Either way i dont think it is a M203. It just doesnt look right. You can see it in the movie. It is ALOT bigger than the 203 and is more squareish.

Also, why would MC be using a 1970's weapon? The M203 was used during the Vietnam War. And he is in the year....what like 3050?? That would be very unrealistic and lame.

Anyway thats jus my opinion.

Yes, it is a single shot launcher. After the shot is fired, a new cartrige is loaded into the rear of the launcher. As for firing it, I'll leave it up to you.

All weapons have new full names. Our HUD man Polar bear made new strings, so it will say, "Picked up a M5AB Assault Rifle".

The pump on the nade launcher attachment is the chamber the next round.

We do have a normal BR without the attachment, but I don't think it will be used. The Pistol is superior to the normal br head to head, and we made the attachment to give the br an edge over the pistol. In SP I like to carry a BRG (short name for the new battle riffle, the real name is the BR55M45) and an Assault Rifle or Shotgun, while in MP, maps its either BRG or pistol and a AR.


Edit: The string entry you see in teh pic above is the nomral nades. Unfortunatly, when you pick up BRG grenades, it will say "Picked up 12 rounds for The BR55M45" There is no real way to change this, as Halo only has dual trigger weapons for the banshee, and it was never intended in the engine to do a weapon combo like we have.

The image you found was the string shown when you pick up a hand grenade :p. Lol, you're getting giddy about this mod and it's making Masters giggle. I haven't seen him act like this since Zanzi_CE was released.

Actualy cheesemaster, the appation fires a big plasma blob, similar to wraith gun. This new projectile is also on the shade turrets and the dropships. Since Dropships can be brought down, the heavy plasma weapon is good for displacing ground troops. Don't group togehter or let your veheicle get hit, cause it's the end for it.

Anyway, I do like the idea of it shooting needler rounds, so we are adding needlers on the apparation now.
