We're hoping to hit the front page news. That would make our day. I know Bungie to occaisionally place custom CE content, so maybe they'll take note of it.
The two lead modelers just keep getting better. I cant wait to see that stuff they're putting out in a few years. I dont really see what we could offer rather than experienced end user advice on the content creation side of the game. Well, besides making a map, which will happen :p.
The changes to the AR are minor. Aside from cosmetic differences, the average user might not notice a difference in the weapon. Its accuracy has been slightly increased, rate of fire has been slightly decreased, stregnth has been slightly increased, and the melee is long and strong.
The SMG is new, :p, so it's basically unchanged. If you're going to compare it to the SMG that was in Municipality, a MP map by Wave of Lag, then I really dont know what to say about it. It's got a fast rate of fire, decent stregnth, and is now silenced. It'll be a nice alternative to bashing your way through Assault on the Control Room.
I believe the silenced SMG was indeed a Bungie concept for Halo 2. That reminds me that I've always wanted that book, >_>. As for wether or not that concept came into play in adding it to the CMT mod, Masters or Wave of Lag would have to speak up.
The silencer for the SMG is not optional and will be on the gun no matter what. There is no true way to do that with the engine provided.
