Hey, I'm Dark_Farlane. What's up?
I'm a Brony and a big Whovian and is in Beatlemania.
BUNGIE 7/7 FOREVER

Like what they are thinking for to become moderators? Just asking since no mortal has ever been to the HFCS to look at it.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

There is a dark closet near the server room at Bungie HQ. Upon being sedated and dragged into this hellish environment they are beaten with wet noodles and left for three days. During these three days the initiates will gradually but surely lose their sanity from listening to the howls and whimpering noises emanating from The Soul in the next room. This is the queue.

@Helveck

Just an Average Joe...

No, likely not. When the time comes and there is a need, the selection will be made then. Potentials fluctuate all the time, some people become better, some people become worse, others may become inactive or more active. All variables that would quickly make having a queue for an extended period of time, rather useless since everyone changes.

This is more likely the case. I would assume that when Achronos is in the market for a new batch of mods he would go through statistics of users to see those with the most activity, least bans/warnings and has some degree of formality.

I hope I'm somewhere on that list... maybe we can make a list ourselves and offer it to Bungie. Of course they would pick whoever made that list as it would seem that they work diligently and are organized enough to complete tedious tasks. And also writing extended posts/replies should be a consideration... I don't know about anyone else, but long replies should definitely count for something. Even if it's incoherent and irreverent. Look at my luscious vocab! *is anyone looking?* I'm a self-reflecting awkward try hard.

That's a cool idea. From the other posts, I too doubt Arch has a list for us members to be promoted.

Probably not.

maybe we can make a list ourselves and offer it to Bungie. Terrible idea. Every time we try that it's a popularity contest and everyone says the same people.

I'm so confused right now... You mean Ach, not arch right? Also, the ninjas decide who they want, They pass it on to stosh, and then stosh sends out the invite.

I sensed my name in this thread so I came running.

It was not in the context of me replacing Achronos. I am disappoint.

That's assuming he would pick someone from B.net in the first place. The guy is crazy, you never know....

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Here's how we should decide:

Forgo all forum restrictions and safeguards. The only person who doesn't break the rules becomes a moderator.

Yeah, and I bet if they do get new Ninjas then they'll add some in January 2013.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

Nope.

Tom just prints out a small list of users, hangs it up on a cubicle wall, and inebriated employees throw darts until they hit a username.* The list is completely random. It doesn't take bans, trust rating, account age, or even whether or not the account is active into consideration. That's probably the problem actually, as there have been mods "selected" each and every month since at least I was remodded. All the accounts selected were inactive, so of course no one was added to HFCS.* I was remodded solely because my name was on a list, and one of them hit "me" with a dart.* So any and all of you are potential ninjas. Its just very unlikely you'd be on the list, and even more unlikely that an ultra drunk programmer could throw a dart near the paper your name is printed on, much less on your specific name.*

I presume Bungie sticks with this system because they all have severe drinking problems, and since its work related they can write off the booze that is bought and consumed in order to choose the ninjas.*

* - indicates a potential lie
