Flame me because this has been posted a bazillion times if it has been, I dont care. But if you watch chief just before the arc (or whatever it is) lights up the whole screen, chief simply stands straight up and at ease. He doesnt brace or take cover or anything. This is because of one of two reasons; he either knows that it wont cause him any harm, and is actually something good; or that it is going to kill absolutely everything, and there's nothing he can do about it so he just relaxes.

Since when is the chief full of expression? You cant really make that judgment. He is a rough and tough dude made of nails. So i dont think he would be freaking out either way.

Theres a big difference between freaking out and taking cover. If a grenade got thrown at chief he doesnt watch it blow up at his feet, he moves, takes cover.

Do none of you have a sense of humour?
We do, this just isn't funny.

He eases maybe, just maybe because he knows what it is, and the Banshees and Phantom are good people, maybe Other spartans in Banshees, and the phantom is the one with the Arbiter, Miranda, Johnson Elites, and Oracle inside, and they are going towards the structure to do something, therefore, he realisees that they do not need his help and they are safe....

We’ve received news today from an industry insider who claims that Halo 3 is finished and sitting at the mastering plant, awaiting the word to go.

According to the source, the final artwork has been finished for disk, booklets and box art.

Our source has stated that one of Europe’s largest CD replicators is on standby, they’ve signed NDA’s and are awaiting the green light from Bungie. According to our source the CD replicators have been given an approximate date to ensure that their pressing schedule is clear for the amount of units they’ll need to produce.

Responding to the question of why haven’t Microsoft and Bungie given it the green light for launch our source is certain that the hold is a strategic move on Microsoft’s part. Although Halo 3 is ready the delay is to time the launch for “maximum impact”

We’ve currently received few details regarding Halo 3, so it makes sense that Bungie will build up the hype surrounding the game before the launch is revealed.

Didn't he just say he was playing multi player, not testing it? I dont remember the word "testing," and Im too lazy to check.

Multiplayer test sessions are proceeding apace and I already have stumbled into one of the perils of Halo 3 development - playing a two hour multiplayer game of Halo 3 and then playing Halo 2 at night, only to discover I have forgotten the layout of Burial Mounds and the cool new weapon I just got used to, isn't in Halo 2…]

Hun.
What about he is just amazed by what he is looking at?
Since when does the MC give up on a mission?
If you are about to die, would really relax: " oh, okay, now i am dead, just relax and contemplate the view; oh nice space ship!"

My guessing is that he is just looking for a way to break in, do not forget is on top of a cliff. He must be looking for a way to gain access to that colosal facility without alerting the ennemy. You do not run in such a situation without a plan, take a moment to think and plan your action, then go for it.

maybe its because it is only a announcment trailer

I had a thread dedicated to that concept here , but then it just turned into a place for people to dump their crazy theories without any sort of discussion on the topic at hand. You can follow the link if you want to read my full statement, but I pretty much come to the same conclusion that you have, that the Master Chief would be fighting against any odds if there was a way to stop the structure (presumably the Ark) from activating in a way that would harm the human race.

The reason Bungie took so long to release HALO2 was because they were busy making HALO3. So yes HALO3 is READY!

He sort of bends backwards most likely from the shockwave or stepping back from the fallen cliff-edges, nevertheless it's nothing too big.
