Subject: The Forerunners Killed the Dinosaurs

Halo's a hell of a drug.

I was listening to this NPR story about how they may have found the meteor that killed the dinosaurs. It crashed in Africa. How great would it be if Bungie used that for their story, except that the meteor was really a forerunner ship. Maybe there will be dinosaurs in Halo 3. Remember the Halo 1 demo had dinosaur like creatures in it.

Well... that would be... odd.

We do, this just isn't funny.

Infact most things happen in Africa, so it wouldnt surprise me...

There are loads of rumours to where it landed, some say burmuda (sp?), thats why the and that what makes the Burmuda (sp?) triangle so strange (with all the goings on)

There's more than one meteor crater on Earth- we are talking billions of years, and millions of asteroids (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asteroid_belt)

Whatever doesnt involve america isn't worth it.

but he said south america silly eruopean.

and yes one landed in the YUCATAN PENINSULA. that one was also theorized for wiping the earth clean of dinosaurs. so yes GO AMERICA. Be the site of the ending of the world and now be it's police.

BTW.. if you didnt know the yucatan peninsula is to the west of cuba and the east of mexico andf the north of guatemala. so no its not in south america.

Yeah but not billions of them landed to kill the dinosaurs. (according to the theory).

BTW

you know metoerites are stiking the earth everyday?. yes they are and an even larger number are being burned up in the atmosphere.. alot of those "billions" of asteroids probably killed something the size of an ant or did nothing.

also you do know that a,lot of asteroids hit earth when nothing was alive? like in the formation of earth.... f.y.i nothing was alive during the formation of the earth because it was LAVE HOT!!!

1) I said Millions of asteroids, not billions
2) You just summed up what I said in a duller, longer way.

well sorry if your post was very unrelated and you gave out false "guidiance".

he's takling about the ONE that was theroized to wipe out the dinosaurs not the MILLIONS that had little effect.

I'm saying, American Pig, That there are loads of asteroids that could have killed the dinosaurs. And I think that the one theorised landed in what is now mexico.

Also, when the asteroid hit the Earth would have looked different- America and Africa were joined together.

P.S. I'm from the United Kingdom, remember? The country that used to own you people?

I do like this idea, but you gotto keep up with the times.
Recently they found a bigger creater at antartica that pre- dates the one that wiped out the dinosaurs buy billions of years, or was that hundreds of millions before the dinosaur one.
Anyway it was supposed to be the size of Sydney (Australia) and wiped out 95% to 98% of life on earth, and that the force of it hit the earth core.
Now putting that one into the story of Halo3 would be cool.

loads of asteroids that could have killed the dinosaurs. ? [/I]

loads? okay.. if loads really means less than 10 ok... then yes LOADS.

cause like i already stated not millions were big enough to even have an effect at all.

For one the Gulf of Mexico is the crater of the meteor that started the ice age that destroyed the dinosaurs.

And finally I think you will find that the Forerunners created life as to destroying it.

Your statements are uncalled for, this has nothing to do with America or the United Kingdom, and by insulting people it just shows your ignorance and that you are more of a bigot than you claim everyone in America to be. Change the subject because no one cares about your immature hatred for America.

  • 06.10.2006 7:28 AM PDT

*Sgt

I thought the supposed meteor landed in what is now the Gulf of Mexico, and aided in its creation.

The crator hasn't even been proven (nothing has yet) so don't think you are always right.

and hmm why examine closely one word and not all i have said? cause i proved you an idiot?

The Gulf of Mexico is a crater and the larges one we know of; the circumference of the crater the borders with land is formed by a crescent mile drop and out to see there are formations at the bottom of the ocean that complete the circle

Find me a crater bigger then the Gulf of Mexico and I will reserve my comments

I have read the trailer information on xbox live for the Halo3 trailer. It definiteley says that that large structure you see opening up is in Africa. Xbox live is not one that would purposefully use false information.
