Do the War Games and Spartan Ops take place before, during, or after the events of Halo 4? -Astrogenesis

War Games, and by extension Spartan Ops, ostensibly take place starting about six months after the Halo 4 Campaign. That's a very light spoiler.

This quote was from the latest Halo Bulletin 13/6/12 or 6/13/12 QA section, as answered by Frankie.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nn89_AXCRUY&feature=g-user -u
This is the Spartan Ops video. Notice how the radio operator says they are on Requiem, "Needle in the Requiem haystack"

Frankie also stated that during the Conan scene, near the end of the game, the UNSC Infinity is preparing for the upcoming war, confirming it's survival at least till that point.

Since Spartan Ops/War Games take place on the UNSC Infinity/Requiem or via the UNSC Infinity, and since they are 6 months after Halo 4's campaign, we can conclude that...

-UNSC Infinity survives Halo 4
-Master Chief does not blow up Requiem (mix things up a little)
-Spartan 4's survive

Speculation

-The conflict is not finished. Whatever happens in Halo 4, the Covies, UNSC and the Prometheans are still present. This has confused me, what Halo campaign involving the Master Chief has the enemies still alive, well and present, especially on something of this interest.
-UNSC Infinity gains the help from the rest of the UNSC fleet
-Ancient Enemy escapes Requiem, Spartan 4 containing vessel arrives
-UNSC Infinity is safe, as evidence by the fact that they are having training exercises

What do you think?

Didnt 343i say the new trilogy would take place on Requiem? Sorry I have no proof of it, just what I had heard.

Secondly I don't think they would spend some much time focusing on the Infinity just to use its fusion reacter drives to blow up Requiem.

I dont think they are so much spoilers as small, yet sensical, plot revelations.

So does this mean the Prometheans seen in the demo were 'not themselves'?

After all, they didn't seem like defensive AI. Sneak attacks and overwhelming numbers.

Well unless he was lying about Halo 5 and 6....

Something is up, definitely.

Well, as we know Halo 4 starts a new trilogy and 343 have made such a fuss about Infinity it is not a big stretch to imagine that the Infinity survives Halo 4.

Oh, I hope not. I'd rather have new settings for Halo 5 and 6.

Again I can't give solid links but it was stated that there are other versions of the Promethean constructs, a blue hued variant that is allied with the Chief and Infinity crew.

I believe that the demo actually showed that, at the very end. Blue Prometheans.
