Truthfully, I haven't been on the forums for months, so I don't know if there have been similar questions to this. But ANYWAYS,

When Halo 4 is released, will you be using the Bungie forums or 343 forums?

Even though Bungie won't have a specified section for Halo 4 (obviously), I think I'll still just come to Bungie.net.

I want to say I'll use both but... I have never been on the 343 forums, I've seen them, but never posted. Is it any good? I still love these forums, plus I'm trying to visit Bungie regularily to snatch any tidbits about Destiny :)

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

I probably won't be using forums for Halo4, but if I choose to, I'll probably try to find a community here to do it with.

[Death to all who appose of me...]

Well there is also the option of Halo Way-point forums.

The question you asked in the title is different than the one you asked in the body. I will be frequenting the Bungie forums. But when it comes to matters of Halo 4, I will take it to the Waypoint forums. Though I don't expect to be posting very often if at all in the Waypoint forums. I don't really like where Halo 4's multiplayer is going.

I just seem more familiar with Bungie's it's hard getting used to 343's. And plus Bungie's seems less complicated.

Agreed. I detest the Waypoint UI and the overly sensitive mods, I'm really reminded at how much freedom we're given on this site compared to Waypoint, thus rejuvenating my gratitude to some of the mods that they're reasonable here.

Inevitably both.

Though I dislike the Waypoint UI, Stylebot and Adblock make a powerful combination.

As for forum etiquette, I can tolerate members there and here.

But I prefer Bungie since the H1/H2 forums here aren't just your average substandard topics.

Also, it's both amusing and sad to see Waypoint's Anniversary forum turn out like the formerly inactive Bungie.net ODST forums: achievements and easter egg discussions. Which is why I am still upset about Anniversary, how it didn't prioritize on the important stuff and how it was treated as a side project. Anniversary and ODST should have been 3 years endeavor.

Don't do anything you wouldn't want to have to explain to paramedics. Trust me, I'm a pilot.

I'll still be around here, discussing the Halo Universe on bungie.net. truth be told, I don't particularly like the 343 forums, so I'll still be using these forums.

  • 06.15.2012 4:57 PM PDT

I like Bungie's forums more but 343 is the discussion will be at.

Unless someone makes a private group to discuss Halo 4...which there probably is...

You got stuck by FalconStickr

I wont be buying or playing Halo 4 but I hope all H4 talk stays away from bnet. We got Destiny to talk about and all the lame H4 talk can be done elsewhere.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

My reaction
followed by,
What deranged dreamland do you live in where an HD remake requires THREE years of production to be good and then still be sold (initially) for $40?
And don't get me started with you about Halo 3: ODST.

Vote for me for a free cookie.

I don't really care about Halo 4

When did I say I wanted just a HD remake?

When did I say I wanted the product to cost the same as this abomination?

This is what I want:

-Xbox campaign with improvements (like, say, hold X to enter vehicle) and changes to the AI
-more accurate new graphics (look at the clutter on the top of maps, the invisible trees taking in my bullets, the damned tall grass compromising my favorite sniping spot on T&R)
-more options (the provided skulls are insufficient)
-better achievements (some of them don't actually encourage exploration)
-extended campaign
-ODST firefight (not the fail firefight known as Reach) using the rockslide location of CE's 2nd level with supported allied AI (unlike the fail firefight settings that have the ODSTs share the same traits as the enemies)
-no reinterpreting levels like Keyes, 343 Guilty Spark, and The Library by introducing more lighting and reducing fog
-better transition between graphic mode switch
-better sensitivity when navigating (I have to use the d pad because the left stick makes it annoying)
-better performance
-installing to a Xbox 360 hard drive silences the noise produced by the Xbox 360 immediately
-skulls can be turned on/off at any point in the game without having to restart the whole thing. As there is no campaign scoring, I don't see why we have to restart the level just to turn on/off 1 skull...
-Theater. 343 could have at least provided Blind skull but instead, we get Malfunction...

And I'll gladly pay more than $40 for it. Hell, maybe I'd even pay as much as I did for the Xbox 360!

But Anniversary, that abomination is worth only $10-20 if we're overlooking the Reach multiplayer. Speaking of which, I got my copy pre-owned for $34.99 but I returned it recently for $12. That's how much I hate it that I had to get rid of it asap.

Ever heard of CMT SPV 3? Well that is miles better than Anniversary. Far more dedication. They weren't afraid to actually do something about the gameplay.

343 had a skull which would replace gun fire sounds but then dropped it. I don't see how this could affect the classic gameplay if it's a skull effect... speaking of which, most of the new skulls change the game for the worst. Not only does Eye Patch make it hard to aim but it also screws up the Banshee and makes headshots pointless. Then there's Recession. The AR and pistol deliberately sabotaged to be like in H3/Reach. Next we have Boom, which turns the grenades into nukes (a.k.a Reach grenades) and it's everybody against everything (funny that this mirrors Halo: Glasslands btw). Now the most embarrassing skull has to be Grunt Funeral. It was promoted as a strategic skull but now it's a room cleaner. It also adds a random element, which coincidentally resembles Reach jetpack Grunts.

This is not what I was expecting when I got it. I had heard that it was bad but I didn't realize that it would be this bad! Funny that only the classic skulls can deliver an enjoyable experience and how the rest seem to maim CE classic gameplay.

I hate the 343i Forums. Just the set up and what not is awful. I will be using The Flood and this forum for Halo 4 discussions.

343, but I will rarely post, just look for updates.
