Halo 4 Prediction: In the third act, Chief has to fight Spartan IVs because they feel that Cortana needs to be erased due to possible rampancy.

No.

John would never wage a one man war against the UNSC.

Why would cheIf battle a spartan IV? And one thing I still don't understand is why the UNSC still needs Spartans since the war is over, and the insurrectionists are just kind of an excuse.

Parangosky is an idiot who thinks the way to ensure humanity's safety is by arming the group of Elites who are most likely to try to destroy all humans.

based on what happened in ghosts of onyx, the later the version of spartan, the cheaper and they are, the less training they got and of course the more cheap their armour was too.

so, the chief could easily wipe da floor with em

So, going by your logic, Spartan I's can wipe the floor with Spartan II's. Nice one.

Chief hands down. He's had more experience as a Spartan than any of them.

Conceded.

Also they wear lightweight MJOLNIR. Makes me wonder if they are even capable of wearing normal MJOLNIR. If the new MJOLNIR armour was lightweight to begin with, I doubt they would have mentioned the word lightweight.

CITATION NEEDED. You need to prove that SPARTAN-IVs are unable to use normal MJOLNIR. Otherwise, I'm going to have call bullshirt on your claim. Now, you should realize that in Glasslands, it clearly showed that Naomi-010 (clearly SPARTAN-II) wore lightweight MJOLNIR Mark VII. Notice the key word of "lightweight". It doesn't mean any jack -blam!- because light weight only simply reduce the weight of armor, it does not interference any performance of Spartan nor affect any augmentative abilities.

Assuming that the lightweight MJOLNIR thing is true. I think it is speculation at this point.

All of your statement is mostly speculation, no evidence to back up. So yes, it's obvious that it is a speculation.

*rolls eyes*

But in terms of experience...Chief trained to be a SPARTAN from the age of 6 and saved the galaxy. Spartan IVs are ODSTs and Marines that simply wanted to get on Chief's level (which I doubt they are). They didn't train their whole lives. Chief did.

The point conceded. But, there's funny thing to think about: They stated that they only pick most experienced ODST or Marines to introduce into SPARTAN-IV program. Do you think that they will invite a greenhorn (means rookie) boy or anyone who ever not had involved in the war, recently joined for military? Use your common sense.

I disagree about the Spartan IVs.

If there was a case of another unknown threat, such as the Covenant, the SIVs would be the only defense.

I won't deny that they'd be a useful ground force incase something attacks humanity. But let's see... oh, ONI is spending MASS resources building Infinity and S4's... Instead of freaking rebuilding Earth and the Sol system, and getting the shattered human economy back on it's feet as a primary goal. You know, getting the Mar's shipyards back in action to rebuild the fleet, making all the cities of Earth liveable again.

The insurrectionists are the reason why the Spartans exist in the first place.

Except now you have loads of splintered alien factions all vying for control.

The Servants don't hate humans, they hate the Arbiter. Jul hates the humans, or at least fears us, not Telcam. If anything, the very fact that Telcam is willingly working with the human race suggests he was one of the ones who wondered why we never got the option to join.

And ONI Section 3 not rebuilding earth? That isn't their job. Their job is running shadow ops in the military. Let them build the Infinity--as they have been doing for 20 years--rather than let the last 20 years of investment towards the human race's saving grace of a ship vanish into thin air just because one war is now over.

Master Chief was better than ALL the spartan II's. A regular spartan II would mess a IV up. You do the math.

Not all the way true Linda 058 was a better at the sniper rifle than cheif and the cheif is a rank not a name it is the Highest NCO rank but back to what I was saying it is all how you view it there in no "Best SPARTAN"

Master Chief was considered pretty average, actually. He had no 1st place traits that set him apart, other than his "luck" which I still find to be confusing.

Chief was always more of a jack of all trades as I viewed him.

Um, the Servants of Abiding Truth hate ANYBODY who messes with Forerunner tech. They freaking murdered an entire household just cause one Elite blasted a piece of Forerunner crap to expand his farm fields.

And you are telling me the ENTIRE group is just going to sit there and smile as humans take apart forerunner tech? The answer is no. The Servants of Abiding Truth are THE MOST LIKELY to Attack humanity. Remember, that Elite who thought humanity had to be attacked instantly went TO THE Servants for aid in that goal?

Again, supplying weapons to them instead of Thel, is the biggest tactical mistake ever. ESPECIALLY when THEL is the one Advocating peace to the elites!

And no, it's not ONI's job to rebuild Earth. But at the same time they shouldn't be stealing resources from rebuilding efforts, and I seriously doubt there is enough to go around.

"Saving grace of a ship." Ha. If it was a saving grace, Parangosky would've had it and S4's in the Battle of Earth, which she didn't.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Without knowing how well Spartan IV´s perform yet, I still think it´s safe to say that a Spartan II would demolish a Spartan IV in pretty much any form of combat.

Spartan IV´s are basically volunteers, meanwhile Spartan II´s have been trained since childhood and have partaken in some of the harshest ops the war had to offer.

And it's been hinted those volunteers are also Marine and ODST veterans of the war who also, saw those bad battlegrounds.

Chief still has more military training. ODSTs may be the best of the best, but Spartans were trained to be even better from the start.

Spartan IV's didn't train to be Spartans from the beginning. Are they best soldiers avaliable? Sure. Are they best soldiers that could have possibly been trained? No.
