I don't like Call of Duty or the word "Swag"

In the Halo 4 live action it seems the UNSC and humanity in general is a lot more futuristic with a New Mombassa type city and flying cars? (maybe they are all pelicans) Any ideas on why humanity seems so advanced now right after the war? Im kinda confused.

Well Lord Hood said that they will rebuild after Halo 3.

Maybe they put full investment on newer technology?

It is possible to commit no errors and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.

Cheeto is the only one among you that doesn't suck.

It's entirely possible that they also got some technological help from the Elites, at least the parts that were okay with the alliance with them (likely not many).

That said, Humanity, even today, makes amazing leaps and bounds in technology in short spans of time. Ten years ago, cell phones were bricks that you had if and only if you actually needed it.

Now, kids have them, and a lot of them have more processing power than a lot of computers still in service.

And our weapons tech is advancing at a scary rate. Our future war programs are incredible, and that's just the stuff we're allowed to see.

So, tl;dr, humanity is capable of increasing our technological level great amounts, while in the same period of time, the covenant (or what's left) would likely have not gone very far, since they have been an imitative, and not innovative, for thousands of years.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

I'm not sure but I think we should be more concerned with things like why we are still fighting the Covenant.

On topic, they probably had time to work on inventing since the war has ended.

In fact, most smartphones have more processing power than the first space-shuttles

Im pretty sure not all Elites want to just end the war in a flash like the UNSC did. It was a 29 year war, I know some elites still want humans dead.

We're fighting a faction that splintered off from the Covenant after the war, one of many. Seriously, this should be common knowledge by now.

^^And yeah, we put Man on the moon with a pocket calculator. Technology devolops fast.

We should know better, because we are better.

I bet the UNSC grabbed some anti-gravity off of covenant vehicles and figured out how to adapt it to human use. We were already using some anti-grav in frigates, IIRC. Technology does have a habit of advancing faster during war.

or they might of had some researchers study recovered vehicles and weapons and incorporated them into society

It's also entirely possible that commercial invention has been posponed for nearly 30 years? Most of the factories were probably repurposed for the war effort and most of the engineers/scientists would have probably enrolled in the military. Just a thought :)

Then combined with all the new technology we reverse-engineered from the covenant/forerunners, that makes for a huge leap.
