I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

Community and Universe went up. Flood went down. As for the other main forums, I do not know.

"But I do not think we're invincible"

Shouldn't there be an option for "It fluctuates"?
Because I'm talking about net change.

I'm a stubborn guy. I love to argue my opinion, but unlike others, I'll try to see your side of the problem. I'm a triathlete, with a very heavy empephis on the swimming bit. Also, don't hate on the ~Quinton~ at the end of my posts. Why are you still reading this? #creeper #hashtagcashmoney for hashtaging on Bungie.net

Less discussion since Bungie has gone dark, but I think the majority of the discussions have been average. But of course there are those silly trolls.

Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

Down. I remember amazing fan fictions in New Mombasa and The Flood (Sir Brilliant, Halifax, etc.) , skull hunting threads (back in my day we didn't have hackers that find the skulls instantly), glitching threads (fun custom game glitching not used in ranked play), theories being posted, and fun forum games.

Rose-tinted glasses my ass. It was different back then.

Wheres Meh Sniper?

Youtube page

I don't think much has changed. There are some who give short posts, and some that give long posts.

@spawn031

"So much of what we do is ephemeral and quickly forgotten, even by ourselves, so it's gratifying to have something you have done linger in people's memories." John Williams

Down. Although that was a while ago. Ever since Bungie went dark it has gone down significantly, but that's too be expected right? I remember having those heated debates in the New Mombasa, Zanzibar and Optimatch forums.

These days there are more repeat threads, but that's just because us (the community) don't really have much new material too discuss. Once we get a reveal, a whole new wave of users will join and activity will kick back up once again.

Until then, I'll be hanging out in the back-room next to the pool.

The forums are still roughly the same. Sure, the population has gotten larger over the years but the only difference is that it's louder.

We will continue to grow.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

It had declined a bit, but is mostly stagnant.

I was hoping this would be our future.

Over the years that I have been here, on average, it has stayed the same. Which is no problem.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

The flood makes me sick, their quality irritates me. I'm kidding, but seriously it's pretty bad up in here.

  • 06.17.2012 7:41 PM PDT

Ah, someone leaked. Now to find the leak and.... plug it.
With justice.

I'm a college dropout.

Things seemed more interesting back in the day, certain people contributed more and certain individuals seemed to stand out for good reasons instead of bad. Some users were pretty unique in their posting and gave this website a little flavor. I don't feel like I see that as much today, but isn't that how people always see things?

  • 06.17.2012 7:43 PM PDT

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

I'm inclined to say that it has declined with responses like "inb4____" and "fap" to just about everything, however, that could just be the norm now and if that's the case then everything's stayed the same. We have wise-ass responses, thought out responses, and ass-kissing responses. Then we have the responses that just annoy people.

I don't see much new when I look at it that way.

No, acnboy. Spartain Ken 15 is a lesser being. Much like the bacteria that lives in your shit.
Posted by: mike120593
My shit bacteria takes offense to that comparison.

Don't make me lel. You won't like me when I lel.

It of course fluctuates, but since I joined in the months before Halo 3, the net change is unmistakeably down.

I remember when "inb4___" used to be a surefire way to get a ban or warning. Now it's so insidious that trying to crack down on it would probably be impossible.

Quality and quantity goes up and down depending on game popularity really. There was definitely more of us here when Reach was released. I feel like with more members checking in about Destiny we'll pull some good posters out of it. You do get the masses of kids or immature people, but they don't last long.

Totally Scientific Forecast of Bnet's discussion of Destiny. Based off pre-release Reach.

I don't know what it is, but I swear that when I joined three years ago it was way more entertaining, and there was always interesting/funny topics. Now in the past year or so, it seems to have gone downhill. Perhaps I was just easily entertained when I was three years younger?

Its gone downhill IMO.

Also, I'm referring to the Flood.
