Subject: What will hapen with the Elites? My Halo 3 theory

Personally my theory is that most of the Elites are still loyal to the Convineant and the Cheif will be fighting them and rest of the covinant through most of the levels, in short, the rebellion hasnt reached the Earth battle yet, but on Delta Halo, the rebellion is still very active when you play as the Arbiter, the Arbiter makes it to Earth (where the Ark is) and preeches the word of truth about the Halo rings and the grunts, Elites and hunters will beleive him and the covienant will fall apart and thats how humans will win the war with the help of the Elites. But I still wanna be able to kill the Elites for a few levels as the Cheif for nestalgic reasons. what do you think?

in response to the original guy who actualyl Had a point, Truth had the Elites replaced as the guardians of the ..leaders, then he had the Council killed and order the brute leader to "get rid of" the Arbiter.. and you think they'll still truet Truth>?
Well, i suppose they might no believe the Arbiter

u also have to include the heretics, since they were actually on their own side in the beginning. They will most likely make an alliance with the humans and the rebelling elites. This alliance will probably be dominant, but the thing is that we dont know how great the Brute army is in size and capability. Also, what about the prophets (not the heirarchs, but all of the other lower ones). They would most likely remain loyal to Truth based on their actions when the Arbiter was being tried. (By the way, what is the Arbiter's name if we know it).

I dont think he had a name before becoming the Arbiter did he? I think he was just known as the desgraced general. But anyway, do u guys think that there should be some nestalgic level where ur the Cheif fightong elites and grunts or what? I think there should be, its so classic

What about all the high ranking Elites that you fought the Brutes with? Surely they are respected, especially "Half-Jaw."

I agree with the idea of rebel elites joining the humans. It would be cool to see covienant technology mixed with the humans'.

I think the covie civil war has come to Earth and the Elites fought over the brutes. Sadly, they probably were ejected into space and left to die while the brutes murder the rest of the human race... just a theory

  • 06.10.2006 5:56 PM PDT

I think its safe to say the rebel Elites will join up with the humans, I mean its really the only chance they have of ending the war in way that doesnt result with the death of all humans, and alliance between the humans and the elites is definatly gunna happen on earth to help "finish the fight" also if listen to the discription of the Arbiter given by the prophets before the level "the Arbiter", it seems to fit, oh and when gravemind says "fate has us meet as foes but this ring will make us brothers" is another indication

I would personally write off the Arbiter completely. If Bungie really want to make Halo 3 HOT......stack the remaining Spartan II along with Master Chief to defeat the Covenant horde, Flood and the Forerunners on Earth and beyond. That is how you finish the fight

Some where in the middle of the game, reinforcements of Master Chief Mendoza Spartan IIIs from another undisclosed colony come to aid Master Chief.

Regardless, I hope Bungie is honest this time around and let us know if Master Chief is going to be in a part-time position like in Halo 2. That way other and myself can save $60.00.

I agree that the Arbiter should and probaby will die, AND that they should bring back the spartans, but im pretty sure that the Arbiter will influence all the elites to join with the humans

*Sigh* More Arbiter haters. Honestly, you all sound like broken record players. We got your point, you don't like the Arbiter, but he isn't going anywhere, so get over it. As to the other Spartan II's coming back, unlikely. There is hardly any mention of them in Halo's One or Two, so they are just going to come out of nowhere and help save the day?

I really like this theory. Elites (incl. rebels) teaming up with the Humans to defeat the Prophets and Brutes.

Seeing as how the grunts and hunters are also fighting alongside the Elites, maybe they'll join us too? I doubt it though. If the rebels arrive at Earth to help us out though, It will ROCK. I definately like this one.

I am then forced to apologize, I get rather flustered when someone hates on Arbiter. I am truly sorry for my former actions if I offended you in any way. As to him dying, I believe it is more likely that Chief dies. Not because I don't like Chief (after all, he is the hero), but because that is all the buzz and speculation in our community, so to speak. Most people think he will cliche himself out of existence, winning the fight and he dies. I must say that I believe in such.

I actually formulated that this would happen as soon as I saw that the Elites were being cast away. I didn't bother posting it because I figured that it was already on the forum, and it was. Many Halo players think that this is what will happen.

The 'heritics' (however you spell it), have to join the humans, bescause if you havnt realised yet the humans are losing, the only chance they had of winning were the spartans and they were all nuked, so the humans have to win one way or another, and one way is joining the heritics who are hidden in some other place with a massive army!

  • 06.10.2006 6:43 PM PDT

thats bassically what i said! lol

  • 06.10.2006 6:45 PM PDT

No one dies a virgin because life screws us all.

i think the elites will help the humans and join forces in the end. however i think the elites and their faction will fight the brutes and their faction because they where fighting each other at the end of Halo 2. near the end the arbiter will help the chief fight the flood or brutes or something...
