Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Looks very cool.

This is good stuff, everyone. Thank you for sharing. Especially the web site with old Bungie ads. Very interesting.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Ken will probably try to rob him for it.

I vote he sells the Myth II poster to Ken.

Don't throw them out! That was my favorite magazine in the 90s. Bungie had some pretty funny ads on a bunch of the backcovers.

Am I supposed to write something funny here?

Cool!

And as said, Bungie should start doing that kinds of ads again. Who cares what ESRB and PEGI say! =P

Haha! That would be an excellent marketing plan just because of how different it would be compared to other adds.

Going trough that page that was linked here, found this. Pay attention to the small text...

EDIT: Apparently "this one didn't get around much"...

EDIT2: Hey OP, can you get a bigger picture of the ad with 3 body bags? (Or does someone know a link that already exists...)

EDIT3: nvm, found it.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I recognize quite a few of those advertisements. This page has larger versions of them. I miss that kind of advertising, this being my favorite.

They should start doing that again.

I didn't have a Mac, nor was I gamer around the time of Marathon and Myth, so the only old-school Bungie advertisements that I recall seeing were Oni-related.

I remember seeing this ad in a number of various gaming magazines. That advertisement convinced me, a gullible seven year old, that Oni was the best game of all time and I just had to have it. I sold most of my other PS2 games and saved for two months just so I could buy it.

That style of advertising was influential and had class. It's a shame that you don't see ads like that in this day and age.

I'm sure it's ok. If was a problem, your pictures of the covers would have been removed.

Sausage casings not included. Heh.

I haven't subscribed to a gaming magazine in years but I do miss those kind of ads. I have a bunch of old Gamepro magazines that I saved when they had games I liked or owned in them, there always used to be really cool ads for games in there.
