if not, then fall damage should be an option in mp.

Yes, it puts more stratagy in a game instead of jumping off the top of the building you have to find a way down stratigicly.

Well some people think it takes skill playing Halo 1 because you need to concentrate more because of fall damage. Tough if they put in fall damage it would effect big maps like haedlong and other ones. But on the good side it would stop superjumping probably.

The few, the proud, the leet.

I believe Halo 2 didn't have fall damage because of the lunge effect of the sword. If you were to sword someone, the stop could be read as you falling to the ground from a great height and kill you.

With more time to code the new engine and more power, fall damage should be able to be reinstated and used to a degree similar to that of the first game.
