"There's daggers in men's smiles." - Donalbain, Macbeth, Act II, scene iii

A pop-up menu in Halo 3 told me to create an account on Bungie.net if I wished to view my stats. I followed the advice of that pop-up menu and I've been caught in the unrelenting vortex of Bungie.net ever since.

Thank you.

Came for the lame jokes. Stayed for the stats.

I wanted that seven sided emblem next to my name in Halo 3. That seemed to be an effective way to get people here. I wonder what tactics Bungie will employ come the release of destiny.

My friends told me about all the Halo 3 stats found on the site. When I came to check the stats, I then wandered into the forums, created an account, and haven't looked back.

Note: It's almost been 3 years since I've found this site(Account B-day at the start of July).

@spaboolly

There was an invitation to join Bungie.net in the case that my Myth II CD came in. Unfortunately I didn't join up until about 12 years later when I stumbled back upon this place after getting my 360.

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

"The pancake, my friend, has officially been flipped."

One of my friends showed me how I could look at my stats, I was ecstatic and signed on that night :) It was awesome!

I don't always ban people but when I do I laugh uncontrollably...that's if I was a Forum Ninja.

Truth is a matter of perception.

The Button

My stats in Halo 3 and I wanted the Seventh Column nameplate next to my name.

I am a Floodian

Came for Halo 2 to complain about the lack of an assault rifle. Stayed to stop caring about Halo and hang out with the community.

  • 06.20.2012 4:16 AM PDT

I saw it in the Halo 3 messages when searching for a Matchmaking game, so I signed up for the Seventh Column by my name and to see my stats.

My future is certain, I will one day fly away. All because I am saved from the penalty of sin. I know he lives.

Same as most. But SilverBulitt82 has the closest story. I just didn't creat an account till some time later. Never really felt like getting involved. Then I read some of the garbage on the forums. And couldn't help myself but to fire back at their lies.

I wanted the Seventh Column symbol next to my gamertag in Halo 3, so it was then that I was shown to Bungie.net.

This. And I wanted to check halo 3 stats.

My name is from Star Wars. Now you know.

Feel free to follow me on my twitter and stalk me.

Halo 2 told me to. I forgot to. Then in 2008, I saw it on Halo 3 when I finally got a 360. Then my soul was eaten by Shishka and now I am his. I am simply awaiting his glorious return.

  • 06.20.2012 5:20 AM PDT

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

I have never seen a thread such as this on the forums. Evar!

OT: To get the screw and see my stats.

Well actually Halo 2 made me realize that I wanted to make video games for my career and then Halo 3 really made me want to work for Bungie. Because of this I did some research on Bungie and found B.net and tried to figure out how I could contact them for info about their jobs. After giving up on attempting to contact them through email I then made an account some time later in 09 so I could at least see how terrible I was at Halo 3 and eventually Halo: Reach and wouldn't you know it, there was other people who talked about the games on the forums so I hopped on and began making terrible attempts to fit in and talk to internet strangers.

Wow, apparently I have my troll meter tuned too high. Was expecting a completely different response. Thanks!

Nope, ur bad. Better?

OT: Played Halo 2 online for a few months after release, shortly signed up afterwords to get the bungie.net on my GT and read the weekly updates, as I heard they were hilarious.
