So, let me ask, what are your opinions on the sections of the Halo books? Just curious, and be sure to check out my poll on First Strike, too!
The Fall of Reach
1. Reveille: I'm not really going to count this one a whole lot, seeing as that it was only like 3 chapters, but I liked it.
2. Boot: My favorite. I loved this section! It was so interesting! Seeing the future SPARTANS as little kids, having them trained, going on their first missions, it was so much fun.
3. Sigma Octanus: In contrast with Boot, I didn't like Sigma Octanus at all. It was boring, boring, boring. I will say! It had a few redeeming qualities. I enjoyed some of Captain Keyes' story, working on the bridge of the Iroquois, introducing the Keyes Loop, and so on, But, the stuff on Sigma Octanus, with the Master Chief, and Cpl. Harland was just flat out BORING.
4. MJOLNIR: I liked this one. It was good. The introduction of Cortana, the Master Chief's test run with Cortana, the MJOLNIR Mark V suits, and everything prior to Reach.
5. Reach: Although short, this one was very good. The final fights of the many courageous SPARTANs, and leaving everything behind.
6. I'm not really counting this one either, as it was only about 3 pages, but It was allright for what it was. It was implemented into The Flood later on.
So, all and all, my favorites:
1: Boot
2: MJOLNIR
3: Reach
4: Reveille
5: Halo
6: Sigma Octanus
