Is it just me? Tell me if it is. In the Halo 3 trailer the opening sounds with exception to Marty O Donnels superb fanfare I can hear water! Then when what we all now know as intelligent people the Arc opens next to the "incredible forerunner structure I can see water? If it is water is it tunnels like in Halo 2's regret levels? Also there's little water in Africa's desert so why in Halo 3's geographically correct Ark?

Well the ark was probably closed for many years. If there was water down there at one point it wouldn't evaporate becuase it is in such a tightly closed area.

You realize Kenya has a crapload of rainforest, borders a lake that could swallow New Jersey or Delaware, and has another finger lake that could fit a good chunk of Rhode Island.

Indeed but you do realise that the trailer is located on an african plain a arable landscape void of such necesary things as H2o.

I think you meant to say 'arid' rather than arable, but regardless, such is the misconception that the african plains are without water. There is quite a lot of water, you just have to dig. The covenant appear to have done some digging.

I misunderstood at first, and thought you were one of those that assumes Africa is all like Death Valley or the Sahara.

You remember the bridge in H2 that leads into New Mombassa? Yea...there is water under it...and you can see the bridge in the trailer,so there is water around.

it is 500 years or so into the future, so perhaps in all those years several nuclear bombs destroyed there rain forrest, or it was cut down for new mombassa or cut down to make pencils and paper, and wooden houses and such. But it could have rained before the trailer started, but since the hyperspace jump did un earth a hell of alot and water being under the surface, that could also explain the water that you saw in the trailer, but i did not see any water, but i thought i saw water but it turned out to be a shadow.

Not to mention all the mountains which equal river and streams.

And you know that you can see trees and other greens in the background. I'm pretty sure they don't survive off of kool-aid.

this poll is pointless.........
