They've already got it on the pause menu, what more do you want!?

I'd support it in H3.

My point is, they made it considerably more hassle free than in Halo 1 where you completely had to quit the game and edit your profile.

Putting it on the D-Pad, the player might accidentally hit a button on the D-pad and screw up their sensitivity, and it would be a pain in the ass. Plus its really not that much harder to just press start and change it.

plus, dont you think the d-pad could be used for better things? mmmm.... weapon customization....

(10:19:49 PM) Scruss: oh and pezza, i saw what you did to that cat
(10:20:17 PM) Pezza: You were the one with the video camera breathing heavily. Of course you saw.

Err.. it would be good, but i think it would be a waste of the D-Pad to have that, although its already a waste that we don't use them. Maybe they can find something else to do with it.

Currently the D-pad is useless. This actually sounds like a very good idea to me, since when I'm sniping I like a lower sensitivity and when I'm run'n'gunning I like it higher.

And since I seriously doubt weapon customization will be in Halo 3, that's not even a real possibility at this point.

You should set your settings on your profile before you start playing multiplayer

This is something that could make for better gameplay, but only to the few that would use it. The D-pad should be utilized for something more important. Your idea is good, but in my opinion their are other controls that could be added through the d-pad.

It'd be easier for them to map a 180 Quick Turn function onto the D-Pad, but I doubt many players would be positive about that idea.

It'd be nice to have seperate look speed adjustments for the on foot stuff and the vehicles/turrets though. I run around with the default look speed, but whenever I jump on a turret, I'll pause the game and crank it up to 7.....turrets turn too slow on default.

All those who believe in psychokinesis, raise my hand.

I like your idea but because you get your i's and e's mixed up and forget to put two of a letter in words that call for it....I must call anything you write as wrong.

The D-pad should tinker with your weapons. (silencer, firing mode, ect.)

i like this idea. very original.

id still prefer the option of having totally different control layouts for different weapons, a modification possible when editing your profile. i would want JUMPY with high sensitivity for the sword, greenthumb with medium sensitivty for the brute shot, default for the BR, and higher sensitivity for all the dual weildables...

This plan wont work because I think bungie would rather the D-pad do something a little bit more pretty and cool than simply changing your damn sensitivity
