common sense is not commonly used

I read somewhere that it is very hard due to a hardware difference. However, I would still like to play it some time. Does anyone know of a way short of finding a very old computer etc.

Update: thanks for the replies. I'll try some of the windows solutions suggested once exams are over.

Try this. Supposing you used Google, you have probably already looked at this, but if not it seems like it could be helpful.

Bye.

Macintosh Garden has "Pathways". You could try there. It even suggests an emulator if you chose to use one.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I am in the same boat as you. I got a physical copy of Pathways but it is on floppies and I have a PC.

Also it is very hard to get old emulator software for Pathways that runs on windows because Mac has very bad support for previous versions of it's OS while windows supports almost every version of programs that were windows based.

Ach! Was ist los?

SheepShaver + Mac OS 8 + a ROM image from an early Power Macintosh works pretty well for me.
