The main reason we couldn't do too much on Hemorrhage was because it was AR starts.

Yes, you heard right - AR starts on Hemorrhage.
A medium to short range weapon for a long distance range map... Not a good start.

I gotta love how I keep shouting "Dude Spartain Ken 15 is in the cave, kill him!
Kill him!!" haha.

Haha yeah dude. Were you the one that was operating the turret on the warthog the start of the match?

...when DeeJ confirms we can do this once every week, I will set up the thread.

Slow down now, buckaroo! No one schedules me. The last thing we need is an Assistant to the Assistant to the Community Manager.

Next week, I have a proper Ride Along planned. Going forward, there will be other match-ups between Team DeeJ and Team _______, but that will depend on my ability to wrangle other Bungie guys to lead the opposing team.

Stay tuned. We will stop by to conscript warriors in the weeks to come.

Thanks for making this happen last night. And thanks for playing. We had fun.

...can I be all time player of these ride alongs?

What do you mean? Can you come to all of them? That doesn't sound very fair. You could take a page from the book of Spartain Ken, who has been in more games with me than anyone else on this site. I swear that guy has a microchip in my brain that tells him when I am posting a sign up.

I had a lot of fun. Thanks for playing with us, DeeJ and Halcylon!

Damn I hate being busy with work every time an event like this goes down. I gotta stick it to the man!

But I'm so cool, you have to invite me.

Well, can you at least give me the days you will put the thread up, and the time?

Ride Alongs, and community games in general, are all about interacting with fellow community members. The more people the better. A diverse group filled with lots of different people- that's what is best. I've refrained from doing some Ride Alongs just because I want to give other people a chance to sign up.

It kind of kills the spirit of the thing if you get the same people in every single time. Cool it my good man, let the good times roll with everybody getting involved. That's what makes Ride Alongs and Carnages and the likes so great.

Just some helpful input for once.

There you go! I'm not saying 'Only do one then go away!' Nah. I've done a half dozen Ride Alongs myself, hah. More than my fair share anyway. Just that a lot of us that love Bungie have a tendency to go overboard with stuff. I definitely did at first methinks. Doesn't mean we can't go back. In fact, I think I'm due to participate in a Ride Along sometime soon- I haven't in a while and could use the distraction. It just means that it shouldn't be ONLY those of us that stalk the forums incessantly.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

It is more about connecting with other users on Bungie.net with then anything else.

I usually play these types of things with Bungie.net members several times a week in groups like FCAW and Community Carnage sometimes.

It is more fun to play with people you know than random peopl on xbox live I guess.

How would it even work? The time difference is too large, they'd have to do a Ride Along at work, or take time out of their weekend.

I've played in plenty of games with Americans without encountering any connection issues. As Antony said, I think the largest problem would be with timings.
