Subject: Why play invasion?

If you're going to quit after 1 minute of the match starting?Apparently people love 10 minute bans, either that or they hate getting credit jackpots because in almost every game that I've played recently, there has been at least one quitter. Has anyone else noticed the startling rise in quitters in invasion games? Invasion is probably my favorite gametype and it's simply infuriating when players on my team quit for no apparent reason.

I understand that it could be due to bad connection, but come one, there can't be THAT many people with terrible connection out there right?

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

While I agree that the new maps suck ass, they're still definitely playable. I don't see a need for anyone to quit do to that. Plus, most people in the match vote for that map anyways. I rarely ever seen full parties as well.

KotOR

They either hate the map or don't get matched with the people they want. It frustrates me, as well.

I get a group of colonels that would team kill for the sniper, and the other team gets Nova and higher, who might actually know what they are doing. You think I'm going to stay around for the -blam!- fest that is about to happen. Lolno.

I kept a slice of ham in my pants for the last 3 days, just so i could have my own secret.

Dark hunter gets it

Yes. I've played quite of bit Invasion recently and there are quitters almost every single game. There aren't even many parties to scare them off (only saw 3 yesterday).

Implying rank equals anything else but time played.

I did notice this recently, in one game its like they all ran to the hills and left me there for the wolves.

I have to admit its tougher for a group of random to go up against a fully party but at the very least give it a chance and not high tail it out before the match starts or even if you just got killed once right at the beginning.

Once again we see the need for quitters to be punished harshly.

You can barely play a single game in any playlist now without a least one quitter. Sad.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

From how much I played Invasion, it just seems that people are afraid of any higher ranked person in their game. Even just one or two.

People still assume that rank is equal to skill.

Sooo, what you are saying is this:A recruit who hasn't played halo will beat an Nova who has played halo from ce and had alot of time to practice his aim.
Rank = time = practice = skill.

I have seen an Inheritor (from KSI, mind you) that has a roughly 0.6 K/D and a less than 50% W/L ratio.

Just because you play a lot does not make you better.

One will only be as good as the effort put into something.

I could spend my hole time playing only FF and get to inheritor.
That time spent in FF will yes, improve my aim to a certain degree, but would result in close to nothing when applied to actual MM against real players.

Rank != skill

I love getting matched against parties, even when my whole team quits, I'll stay and see how I fare with 6-1 odds or 8-1 odds in big team. I usually get destroyed but if I can get at least a few kills, I feel pretty good about it.
