Subject: Mail Sack: Jason Jones

90% of teens today would die if Myspace was completely destroyed. If you are one of the 10% that would be laughing, copy and paste this to your signature.

If this happened, I would consider mailing you (DeeJ) a nice potted cactus.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

I would happily jump in the sack with Jason Jones....

There's so many questions that I've pondered; some are curiosity, some were redundant, and others will be inane.

If this does indeed happen, I wonder how many members will waste a very rare opportunity to ask Jason Jones a good question, with a pointless dumb question.

Maybe DeeJ could give us a couple weeks to prepare for the questioning? If he could agree to this idea now in the next mailsack, and say that the one to follow will enact this idea, we would have a little more time to really think up those tough questions like: How did you come to name Bungie?

Man of God. Fan of Bungie. Eater of many Jr. Bacon cheeseburgers.

Jones, I've heard, doesn't enjoy the spotlight too much. I'd love to hear from him, though. I think one on one interviews would be better than the current Mail sack lay out. It'd definitely be a nice change. The current is starting to feel repetitive.

Maybe he'll be on a panel in one of the Mail Sack, but that wouldn't be as good. My thought is we should have people-specific Mail Sacks every now and then, with famous people like Jason Jones, Joseph Staten, and whoever else who would be available. It's kinda like the Spotlight thing, but for the oldies when they have a chance to answer questions. And we got plenty of time anyways, if I've waited this long I can wait even longer for DeeJ to be able to get a 1 on 1 with them.

You forgot Marty.

OP:I like it. I think it would be really cool to see him appear in a mail sack.

They said Jason left the Halo projects to Frankie at the end of Halo 2 to work on some other project. Considering its been over 7 years since then with not a whisper of it, I have to wonder exactly how large/awesome that project could be.

Trust me, I wouldn't mind if he was on the panel one bit! But I think if he was, he may get flooded with questions.... at least I know I would flood him with questions. The only problem is it would kind of be like the "Ask Jason Jones a question! Oh yeah, and stosh and luke if you really feel like it, but mostly Jason Jones" Mail Sack.

I think it would be best (hypothetically speaking, Jason would have to want to it and DeeJ would have to approve it) if there was just a Mail Sack focused on Jason Jones. That way the community guys have their time to shine on the upcoming panel Mail Sack.

And remember, I'm not saying this Mail Sack should happen this week, or the next week, or the week after that. According to the podcast, the guy is really hard to get in contact. Hell, they tried to get him on the podcast at least 3 times, and failed each time. I just would love to see this happen at sometime in the not-too-far future.

As much as I would love to hear from my hero, I would rather have DeeJ journey outside of BUNGiE to a man who shares in the mythic powers of Jason Jones. Yes, the rest of us grizzled ancients of fans know of whom I speak: Alex Seropian. It would rustle my grizzled jimmies if such an interview were made.

I would love DeeJ continuously as I have done so with much more staunch fury if such actions were taken. Or maybe even interview them both together in one super duper mail sack.

I wouldn't read too much into deej's comment. The last mail sack was only for urk

Fight your way out; only scrubs and mashers jump out of the corner

I think this is a great idea, but think we should take it a step further.

The Breaking In articles are usually closed interviews between Deej and a Bungie employee. I know it's a lot of work sorting through questions, but I think it would be cool if future Breaking In articles featured community questions in addition to the usual "who are you, what do you do, how did you get here" type questions.

Him being as experienced in the industry as he is, I bet he'd have great answers and advice for aspiring game developers. It would make it all the better if they were community questions.
