hi guys
sorry but i couldent find the search options (is there any??) so apoligies if this has been asked before but re mouse sensitivity, the max is 10 but i wanna know if this can be tweaked (via console etc) to make it faster pls, as its prob only about half the speed i would like it to be!
its fine to play, but i got it maxed out on 10 (15 or 20 would be nice) and i am using a MS intellimouse explorer 3.0

thanks for any help

Check your mouse settings in control panel, you probably have sensitivity to low(bad monkey) or to high(cube).

thanks for the replys guys :)
but in my mouse pointer options>motion>pointer speed i got it around 3/4 of the way up and thats fast!
in games like UT2004 i have it around 8.0, but i like to be able to spin 360 with a quick flick, dont get me wrong halo PC is still awesome and plays well, but a touch more mouse speed would be better
anyway i will try to raise the speed a bit in mouse properties
thanks again

I'm with you, Cube. There must be a high degree of variation between setups, because I'm running at 3/3 sensitivity and that's probably a tad too fast, but I'm slowly getting used to it. 10/10 is absolutely, undoubtedly insane. At least, it would be on my computer. :) In theory, your Control Panel settings for the mouse should have no effect on the mouse speed ingame, as the speed should be reset while ingame.

For those of you who have the weird setups, where a sensitivity of 10 is still too slow, you might try exiting your mouse software when playing the game (through taskmanager). There is also one more thing you might try.

-Open Notepad
-type: "mouse_acceleration x" where x= a number of your choosing. The default is .7. You can play with this value by opening the console while you're playing Halo and typing the same command with various numbers substituted in place of "x."
-Save the notepad file in your Halo instalation directory as "mouse.cfg", including those quotation marks. The quotation marks will prevent Notepad from appending a .txt to the file.
-Find your Halo shortcut and right click, go to properties. At the end of your Target, append " -exec mouse.cfg" For an example of what the shortcut's Target field should look like:
"D:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -exec mouse.cfg

See if that helps any of you out any.

thanks for the reply :)
well thats what i thought, having my mouse cranked up on desktop should not affect ingame at all, i cranked it up and does seem to be better (or is that me?)
i aint one of those guys that has his mouse turned up to insane, almost superhuman speeds, but at 10 it does seem a bit sluggish to me anyway.
like i said above i like to move my mouse a touch and be able to spin round, rather than having to lift and place to get same desired effect

thanks
