Complaining that it isn't feature-rich compared to other forums then arriving at a conclusion about how user-friendly it is makes it sound like you don't know the difference between those two things.
Well, that's not the argument I was making.

I said that the forum software other sites use gives users more tools - tools which subsequently make their site(s) easy to use.

Yes but did you ever think about members average age? Bungie, and more specifically Halo, attracts a very young audience. There's a reason you can't embed pictures or videos on this site. The general audience is too young and there are a lot inappropriate videos and pictures out there. Maybe Bungie restricts these tools to protect younger users. They make good fathers ;)

I thought it was one of the more popular sites? I know it's certainly the most active of the sites I visit.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

1. It's easy to navigate.
2. It made like what-six AAA games?
3. The majority of people are nice.
4. The Mods are just and fair.
5. There are more things about this awesome website.

Consol Embu
Xbox Ambassador

Hello community, If you have any questions or concerns then please feel free to ask, whatever it may be and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge/ability. (It may not be THE answer you're looking for but AN answer is better than NO answer.)

KEEP CALM AND PLAY XBOX
Thank you.

Bungie actually listens to their community and talks to them and they have sexy time one night stand and they never called ME back OR ANYTHING!!! but lets not talk about that. Please disregard previous notion.

If there were an active poll I'd say this is the #1 fan-site on the interwebz.

Yeah. I think it's nice because you really do start recognizing different people. We all start to know each other after a while. At least the regulars do.

Agreed. I hate how some forums move too fast and its hard to know whos who

Perhaps one of the great aspects of these forums is that it is not "popular".

  • 06.27.2012 12:06 PM PDT

Why can't it be one of the most popular? Because amazon, social networks, search engines, and Chinese websites hold those spots.

Sounds like hipster speak to me! :-)

I find the site very simple and easy to use. However, seeing how many topics are posted in the wrong forum makes me wonder if the forums could be organized slightly better...or maybe it's not a navigation problem but an "I'm too lazy to click an extra link. I want my answer NOW!!!!" problem.

Those are not the kinds of tools I'm referring to. I'm talking about things that a user can utilise to affect their own experiences on the site: blocking users, filtering content, tagging content, categorising content, querying content, querying content metadata, etc...

Generally speaking, actions which might be possible at the moment, but either take too long, are imprecise, or are cumbersome.

For instance (and anyone can answer this), if I said I wanted to find the most recent topic in The Flood about The Avengers, how would I go about doing this? How quickly does your method find the topic? Is your method accurate? How can this be improved?

I hope that b.net gets really popular because then I'll be able to say that I liked it before it was cool.

Honest question, daz, is there anything you do like about this place? It seems like all I see from you are complaints or feature requests put forth with a sense of entitlement. No offense. While I'm normally not one to jump on the "Bungie.net is perfect" bandwagon, why not contribute your full input by telling us what, in contrast, does make you stay here?

I would edit this so I'm only quoting your question but I'm on a mobile.

I see the point you're making because the only way into CTRL+F every page, and even then a thread like "Do You Think Iron Man is Too Rich?" talking about tony stark in the movie wouldn't come up.

The only alternative is the search bar (broken) and Google (several reasons why that shouldn't have to be an alternative).

We should know better, because we are better.

If I remember correctly, Bungie is around 2000 on Alexa. Fairly sure we are at least in the top 5000.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

I love this site with all my heart. If I had the choice to be on one site for the rest of my days it would be this one. Viva Bungie!

Among other things, the quality of discussion that can be had, but that in itself is precisely the reason I keep whining and suggesting things - to try to make it better for myself and everyone else. At least that's my goal here anyway.
