your names really weird so i had to find one of your posts and copy and paste it.

thats not nice gnome whatever. If alot of people said that a certain person would make a good mod i do think that bungie would consider them alot more than the others. just trying to get the better members reconized.

i vote you get an im a -blam!- sign posted to your pic! (jj)

Reginko(sp?) would make a pretty good mod. He seems knows a lot about bungie and halo. Plus he actually uses the underground to make thoughtful discussions(unlike most) and he's helpful in the septagon.

I think he'd make an excellent addition to our team of mods.

bah

Reiginko is #1 on my list of people who should be mods if they wanted to be. I wonder how you pronounce his name, being it's not really a word and all.

Seems like the longer you've been here, the better chance you have of becoming a mod. I would have suggested Reiginko, but Rip Saw took care of that. I would have said Banshee Barron, but someone mentioned him. And the last one, MakaVeli4LIfe1, him too, but seeing as how everyone was mentioned, I'll use my brain power and think of someone else. I'll be editing this one later. And now for the edit. There was Yoozel, Halo53, goweb, I don't know who else. Ahhh, I miss the good ol' days with Pelican Pirate.

its ok if you say people that have already been mentioned. Infact thats what your supposed to do! its good if the same names come up over and over again then it shows that those people would make good moderators in the eyes of a lot of bungie fans. so anyone who agrees about the people previously listed feel free to say so.

I think Mods should flame idiots, just for my sheer entertianmeant value.

Crimson Clover

If they flamed idiots, then they would be executed by Achronos' personal bodyguard ninjas. Something like that. Lets just say it would be setting a bad example.

If the mods that are already in place (shishka and stosh) want/need more mods I'm more than willing to help. Although others have named a few I'll have to agree with them. A stickied thread with a poll of about 10 honored, respected, appreciated, etc. people should be put up and voted upon. Just my opinion

the mods do flame a little bit i think. but there just joking. i think we should be allowed to flame people that dont get offended. not that we would be able to tell who they are. (i took a while to respond cause cookies are very yummy and the tv was on so i had to watch it for a little bit.)

No poll. A bungie employee will choose the next couple of mods. A poll would turn into a popularity contest. We don't want popular users -- we wan't users that can do the job and do the job well.

Just don't let them choose me,
I like being able to flame people without tact. I should do it on a more regular basis, but it's not everyday I'm delirious.

but popular users are popular because they help people. it's a different enviroment here than in the real world. peoples only forms of positivley influencing others is by helping them or being nice (on bungie.net). most people here dont know eachother from outside of the site. so how could our votes be biased?

Bungie or one of the moderators (i forget who) said that their would be more mods to police the underground soon.

I think banshee Baron should be one of the new moderators. hes almost in everypost i read and he doesn't seem to flame on ppl no matter how stupid they are.

I also think MakaVeli4LIfe1 should be one of the new moderators. he doesn't reply to everysingle post, but he seems to not flame either and also be pretty helpful.

anybody eles got ppl they think should be moderators?

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

Wow, I think you are the first person to actually suggest me. I love you *hugs* :D
I would be willing to help, and I have been here for a while but there are others that I think are more "worthy" of being a mod than me. If they needed say, I don't know, maybe around 8 or so more mods, I think I would be picked. But there are people like Reginko, Yoozel, Rip saw etc. that are more deserving than me.

No poll. It would be like American Idol :P And of course I wouldn't get picked because noone likes me ;)

There will always be people messaging people saying "Ill vot3 fur joo if you vote 4 m3!" and just lieing. People will create multiple accounts or go on multiple computers and get extra votes for themselves. Bungie/current mods should get together and choose maybe 4 or 5 more. Atleast.

True, but I think popular people get rewarded to much. Like stosh, said its not about popularity, its who can get the job done.

What does a moderator do anyway (besides closing threads, answering questions, and cracking out yo mama jokes)?

  • 05.16.2004 11:30 AM PDT

That's about it. And I imagine that they will be part of the SCC too.

  • 05.16.2004 12:27 PM PDT

i think "shai hindu (i hope you guys know who im talking about, i cant spell it) the blind prophet of the underground" would be a good moderator. hes smart and helpfull and every post he posts makes sense...unlike this one.
