Hes right. Look at all the older consoles, most sold around at least 300-100 usd. Like the dreamcast was like maybe around 200 im not for sure. And if it was made for the xbox and the 360 you would be disappointed, the graphics would be dumbed down. Plus it might affect thwe 360's graphics.

Ok, dude, Microsoft GOT alot of money when XBOX came out. That was because of HALO 1! That was the main reason most people got the XBOX, because of Halo. Thats why today, people mainly get Halo 2 for XBOX Live. Not for campiagn play. So, Microsoft did make a big profit from Xbox.

do you need a HDTV to have good graphics?

no you dont i dont have an hd but ive played it on one a bit and its not THAT much better although hdtv is better its sometimes not noticible

An HDTV is only as good as the one you get. The best it is than a normal tv may be better framrate 60fps for HDTV 30 for normal. And the detail on some games is so great the TV can't replicate using its pixels so instead it looks like a rainbow of red green and blue. Thats all an HDTV really does for a game, no more rainbow and better framerate.

Dude, that's 120 bucks a month without working on the side. Say you saved even half of that- 60. For a whole year (it might even be longer than that, maybe November), that comes out to 720 bucks. And if that IS til November, then you are talking over 1000- considering that by then, the 360 could be at least 100 bucks cheaper, you've got enough money for an HDTV AND a 360- how nuts is that? That's not even including money you could save for your birthday and Christmas (if you have a birthday between now and November, that's TWO birthdays), and money you could make by mowing lawns, or on E-Bay or Amazon by selling old stuff, etc. A year and a half is a long time, you just have to be disciplined about it.
